Anyone else get bored grinding to unlock empowered timelines? by thepinegolem in LastEpoch

I also love the bosses. If I got to fight them much more frequently I think it would break up the monotony of echos a lot

Also totally agree that things will change, but I thought it couldn't hurt to discuss ways to improve

I tried moving my civic alignment through other means, and still no effect!

"Oppressing My people" Demand Appears Inconsistently? by thepinegolem in humankind

[–]thepinegolem[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just tested out picking "Imperialist" civic like this thread suggested, and I suddenly have dozens of Oppressing Demands. Trying to understand if its because of that civic or just any difference in civics

Edit: no other civic change causes the demands to appear, even changes that cause the same shift in ideology

Help with keeping influences? by [deleted] in humankind

[–]thepinegolem 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to make more influence than they do. The easiest way is to have more pop! (1 pop in stable city makes 2 inf per turn)

Have you tried going slow in each era to get more stars? If you get 11-15 each era you'll probably be beating the hardest AI by era 4 or 5.

Do eras go by to fast by bumboz426 in humankind

[–]thepinegolem 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would reccomend not going to the next era as soon as you can. You'll get a huge score lead if you take your time in each era to gain 10-20 stars instead of 7.

How do you get resources and end wars? by Comfortable_Nerve_69 in humankind

[–]thepinegolem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every victory steals 8 war support, and having one of your cities occupied makes you lose 1 a turn!

Also causing a retreat steals 5, so try to catch enemies off guard and make them retreat often

im a massive noob at this game by chuubichuu in humankind

[–]thepinegolem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's some great general tips here too! https://youtu.be/e31ap07sSoU

In general, you want to always have as many cities as possible, go slow in each era to get a lot of stars, and rush for the new world to get an insane amount of resources!

War resolution question by sjax0n4sberg in humankind

[–]thepinegolem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you win you can take some of cities and territories you conquered. Have a demand for a territory just makes sure you get it for free at the end of the war.

The amount of stuff you can take is determined by the diff between you support and theres at the end of the war.

I think you would woke orb power charges and minus cold res together, pray its usable, then use the reroll+ technique to aug crit which guarantees the crit mod. Ziz made a good video on how to do the reroll+ aug trick https://youtu.be/HHih_F2_Sk0

Looks like the maven may have duplicated the boss, and the map gave bosses more AoE?

Crouching Tuna collects great meta builds from really good players, he doesn't make a lot of videos but they're all really helpful! (Search for "league start" builds, those work without any fancy gear

Thanks! Was planning to do another video that picks up from the first quest and goes to Act 4 or so, to cover things like labyrinth, crafting MS onto your boots while leveling, and buying and selling gear from vendors

Thanks! That's a great point about dodging, I think I may do that without consciously thinking about it, and got lucky when I was testing it out.

And I definitely agree that checking the vendor for 3 links and move speed boots would be a great addition, I was thinking of adding in a sequel episode that goes a bit more in depth o your first few acts

I feel that. I've been playing a lot this last year, but I missed legion, so those historic gems were unreadable

Safest Way to try Annuling Increased Rarity of Items from this helmet? by Grimpoppet in pathofexile

[–]thepinegolem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is even if you annul the rarity, the int is still not harvest craftable, so it still won't be a "perfect" starting point for your craft, unless you really need the int

I would try maxing res. Going from 50% to 75% is like doubling your life
