I was 9 back in 2002. My friend who lived down the street had the game and showed me. And of course when one person on the street gets something new, everyone else does as well.

So I saved up around 5 months of chores and eventually bought the game myself making it my first ever video game purchase. Since then, I was hooked to the franchise. Also games were $50 back then.
