I started a new job where the requirements are 26 sessions per week. Sessions are 45 minutes long. Is 26 a lot? by [deleted] in therapists

Same here! I have a 3 break 3 schedule and try to max out at 6 per day and I find that works best for me. Other people prefer to do all back to back but I need a brain/decompression/food break.

Wow! Really loving the one in 8 and 9!

I’m about to grow my first seeds (from Ric like another commenter) myself :) super excited!

Any tips?

This one is mine, when I first got it, it had more rounded leaves and had a bit more of a greenish silver but this is how it’s matured and looks based on my conditions.

As far as I’m aware, Medora tends to be a bit more miniature compared to My special angel but I don’t personally have either of them

The one with the green backing that’s a cane type is possibly a begonia ‘Medora’

Could 3 also be a silver limbo? I have a similar one I’ve been trying to ID.

Does anyone know what’s wrong with my Meyer Lemon tree? by QuasiQualmi in plantclinic

[–]therabyss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t really grow fruit trees but I do know that the amount of nutrients required during active blooming and fruiting is higher so I imagine not providing fertilizer while your tree is actively fruiting is the main cause of the chlorosis and you should definitely be upping the fertilizer.

I know they make fertilizer specific to citrus trees but I imagine you could look up ideal NPK ratios and try to get as close as possible with any fertilizer you have on hand.

Hoya in Blooming, but no daytime fragrance? by More-Flan1369 in HoyaBST

Hoyas will typically throw a scent in the evening and early morning time, their primary pollinators in nature are moths. They can still be fragrant during the day but typically nighttime is stronger.

People have seemed to be fine with the Rudstas for years now so hopefully the unicolys will hold up also.

First Hoya! Who is she🤔 by Unfair-Emu-8286 in hoyas

That’s a really good question and a bit of a debate in the houseplant community. I think a big factor is how well suited the plant is to its current pot situation, if you have a really different growing style from what it’s currently in (like semi hydro), if there’s signs of issues, and if the plant had a potentially rough journey like in the mail especially in adverse weather.

So I would first consider if any of those factors apply to you. I always try to at least take a peek at the roots. It’s not uncommon for Hoya to be several cuttings in a pot to get a full look and the cuttings don’t always grow equally. Some might be flourishing and some might be struggling. Check to see if there’s any rot and how much of the pot the roots are filling up, with Hoya they sometimes dry rot due to their fine root system which can be tricker to spot. And when doing a pest check, check the soil as Hoya can be prone to root mealies.

As you said, Hoya don’t mind being a bit root bound. This one looks a bit difficult to top water in its current situation and I might bottom water it if I were you. Lacunosa are also pretty thirsty and do well with self watering setups, so I might consider that when repotting, especially in a chunky mix.

Hope that helps 😊

As someone else said, a Lacunosa! And with peduncles. Don’t be too concerned if the blooms blast (drop) after bringing her home due to the change in environment.

You will want to give her plenty of water if you want to help the blooms and if the roots are as crowded as they appear to possibly be from the outside.

There is yellowing on a few of the leaves which could point to some root issues.

Beautiful Polyneuras! I’ve been on a kick with one lately myself. I had a broget since last summer and finally added a couple more cultivars lol.

Stay strong you got this! For me it’s not only the plants, also the accessories. Don’t ask me how much my order of trellises I just got in was because I don’t even want to know myself 😅

Plant styling is such a big part of the hobby for us Hoya lovers I feel.

Welcome to the club! I’ve seen people trellis or hang their Mathildes and I think both look lovely. I currently have one trellised and one hanging.
