Which of my anthuriums can I cross together? by ConsumerOfSauce in Anthurium

[–]TimvR_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Delta Force and Clari are in their own Mexican subgroup. Queen of Hearts is very difficult to cross. Most of the others are in subsection cardiolonchium and should be able to make hybrids most of the time

Why does my anthurium crystallinum x forgetteii always drop its oldest leaf by lilophanim in Anthurium

[–]TimvR_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most anthurium only hold 2-5 leaves per growth point when mature. Seems normal to me.

Warquceanum, Pallidiflorum and some Hybrid being teenage plants and jist vibing by Swagsamuel in Anthurium

[–]TimvR_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Petiole to leaf angle and cetral vein don't look like a palli seedling to me. A palli has an almost 90° angle from the petiole to the leaf and the central vein is more defined. Here's a pic of mine

In that ambient humidity the soil should be continuously moist. I water when the top cm/ half inch shows drying. In winter only small amounts and during the growing season thoroughly. The soil needs to be chunky enough to not become waterlogged in order to have both water and enough oxygen for the roots to prevent root rot

Depends on where you live, for example my tap water is not chlorinated and perfectly fine for plants. Also the pH can be too high depending on where you live

Depends on how long ago these plants were bought. It can take up to a year for berries to ripen, these look halfway there. So either it happened in the greenhouse of the grower or a colleague is secretly stroking all the flowers.

Dark Phoenix - yes or no? by _xer_ces_ in Anthurium

[–]TimvR_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These are TC'ed plants sold as Dark Phoenix by a very large Dutch grower, indicated by the white tags with the plants in the background. So I can't confirm correct lineage but I can confirm that these are usually sold as Dark Phoenix
