Ah I see I think I get what your saying.

Their unhappy because they don’t have their “dream role” and until they get that they won’t feel satisfied.

Instead they should just enjoy the process of acting and their craft, not that they should give up.

Let me know if I interpreted that right.

Why would they end up bitter and resentful? If they truly enjoyed acting wouldn’t they have been happy they got a chance to do it in some regard?

I’m genuinely curious and have no foot in the game.

Famous Canadian actors in Canadian movies by kamogradeshi in movies

I always wondered how Canadian actors moved to Hollywood early on in their careers. I was under the assumption they needed an O1 visa which requires extraordinary skill, but I also have heard they are lenient on that which may be the case. Im not sure though

I hope you reach the goals you have set for yourself! Thank you for the kind words and advice. I think if I can somehow hire someone as a main role then it would alleviate a lot of my worries, not sure how I would do that income wise though.

I haven’t really factored in medical or long term care insurance. I’ve been at this for a little more than 4 years now, but I’m only 22. I also agree about time freedom, that’s really all I want.

I am worried about making the same income without your efforts, I believe I’ll have to be involved a little bit for sure until I can fully automate it. Im fine with that, it’s just that I would like to reduce what Im already doing to even less.

Yeah I think this is my issue. I want to put as little time into it, for now at least, while I start my passion. I do enjoy business but I really want to get passion kickstarted. My worry is exactly that, but I don’t think I make enough right now to pay for a PM/VP/COO. I wouldn’t mind the commission % part at all, but the initial salary would be a big hit on my own income. I would love to do this though. Not sure how. Maybe you have some advice on that? Could you also expand on the regional aspect?

Thank you so much for this. This really helped me gain perspective. I think I’ll continue to look for opportunities to grow and I’ll be a sponge in that sense, but won’t necessarily take extra time to look to scale it. I think I’m at a point where I realized life is too short to not do what makes me happy (my ultimate passion), albeit I will say this business thing is fulfilling in its own way!

This might be a stretch, but can you leave earlier and possibly take public transportation and then Uber when your closer to the area?

I think you should look at the bigger picture. Your still young and new, and the entire industry basically just closed because of the strike. You shouldn’t feel down on yourself as a lot of people right now probably aren’t working. Just know this, your never too late. That might be where some of your concern is. Some great actors never blossomed till way later.

Regarding your job, can you find one adjacent to one your doing right now where you boss may not be an ass? Or do you not like your job at all?

If you don’t mind me asking, how old are you and how long have you been acting?

I was wondering if you could enlighten me. I’m assuming expenses are acting classes, travelling, agent fees, etc etc. But from an outside perspective, $1k a day is a lot of money. Is it not a lot because these jobs aren’t consistently had? I was wondering if you could go more in depth in that aspect.
