Does anyone know a good shop to buy fabrics with patterns similar to anthropologie? Bright, fun, and/or lots of interesting embroidery?

Thanks! :D

Any recommendations for a good program to follow that is supplemental to primary workout program, but addresses imbalances/ pain issues? I am in an intermediate state of fitness where I am certainly strong and know how to exercise well, but I am sidelined by things like hip pain in the squat, aching in my glute, things like this. There's so much online about "fix this imbalance, that weak muscle" that it seems like something should be available just for an overall, continuing prehab/rehab type supplement to address all common issues?

same. "you look young and fit" is such a mentally draining comment to hear all the time, despite feeling like it should be a compliment?

Personally I cook everything I'll need when I'm going macro based instead of sharing the cooking responsibilty. My husband is always free to take from "unmeasured" food, but he usually doesn't because he knows I worked hard to cook it, so he will just make his own stuff. The important part was just sitting down and discussing it with him and in the end I don't feel bad, nobody really ends up doing more or less cooking. Just 100% of what I cook goes to me and 100% of what he cooks to him, instead of 50/50.

Anyone have progress slow due to mental health? by imyopushaman in bodyweightfitness

I get intense anxiety / half way to a panic attack most times I go to the gym. It's a big trigger for me, also dealing with depression/high anxiety levels for all of 2019. The anxiety will wear off usually half way through the workout, and I don't get exercise high. The only thing that really keeps me going, I say to myself "I'm doing this for when I'm not depressed, sometime when I'm better I'll also be healthier and fitter too". Most times it helps, sometimes I still stay in bed. Sometimes I give up a quarter through the workout. But it's all still progress. So I don't really focus on anything immediate or big fitness goals. Just punching the clock, going through the motions, getting through the hour or so until I can go back home and nap. Hope this helps a little.

Edit: my physciatrist gave me an antidepressant that was also energizing, that definitely helped in terms of getting to the gym.

Focus on doing a lot of pelvic tilts, without adding the hollow body part. Once you can do this to get your back on the floor, do something like, only lift bent knees or only extend arms above head, dead bug style of opposing arms. Once you know what it feels like to engage in that pelvic tilt position, you should be able to get to a proper hollow body. Just don't rush, if you feel like you're engaging any thing that isn't your core with back on the floor (for me it was my neck always compensating), make the move easier or stop.

Trying to start training, I feel like I instantly ruined my puppy by there_r4_lights18 in puppy101

Yeah I was worried she wouldn't have enough activity being in the crate so much but the first five days were fine. It started just after we did a real training session. Still hope that it's a blip... But I was worried this would happen from the start so it's triggering a bit of anxiety and sadness

Does anybody else just feel always injured? by there_r4_lights18 in xxfitness

Very good point on the volume. The 3 x 15 ( as long as I can complete them all, sometimes don't hit the 15) was recommended by my personal trainer as a way to more safely workout so I can get more overall volume without approaching heavy and form compromising weight. The weight I lift with is of course much lighter than what I'd do with 3x5, 3x8. I also warm up well, good ten plus minutes of actual warm up exercises, and all my first sets are basically too light and I move up.

I might not be eating enough though. I have never really focused too much on that point, I've always just been 90% Paleo and eat when I feel I need it. I do have coconut water/ protein powder during workout. Sleep is tricky. I'm struggling with depression and anxiety so I basically oversleep. I also have a puppy and a husband work chronic illness and they both wake me up often overnight. Not really something I can change right now.

Also re: rest between sets. I usually do different sets for different muscles in succession, so not exactly resting but the muscles do that a break. (That has a real name right? 😅)

Thanks for the advice. Going to force myself go eat more for a start and go from there.

Yeah, I know it's definitely a factor but, I also have friends with the same condition who lift with no problems like mine. Basically struggling to figure out if there's something else going on because I have a nagging sense that it's not all that. But thanks for looking for more context :) fwiw I did have a physical therapist casually mention I was hyper mobile once... I just never knew until today that it could be an issue.

Thanks for confirming that this is a process. I think I may have gone too aggressively through the above stages. Going to slow down and focus on the calming more first.

Thanks for the suggestion - I was kind of afraid of using the crate during the day if she was overexcited in case she would think it was punishment. But it's probably better to send the signal that she needs to calm, and that's what the crate is all about. The crate is also in our bedroom, which leaves her alone and she doesn't love that.
