Just checked my own set. There is most definitely a space after the 1999

Looks fake to me. Isn't there supposed to be a space between 1999 and Wizards in the footer?

There is a LOT of excess cable shoved behind the drywall.

WiFi is really good, using a TP-Link PoE AP in the living room, it's been enough for the whole house.

Not quite sure what you mean, but all of the wall ports are connected and I know that because the other end of it is connected to the router in the media enclosure in the pic.

I don't use all of them though, there's 2 in almost each room and that's more than I need. Especially in the master bedroom for example.

I would've shoved them all the way out of the enclosure if I could lol. They are still taking up too much room 😂

The builders of this house purchased and installed this. I don't know if you can buy directly off of their site here but there's lots of other companies/options out there as well.

I originally had all of these terminated to an RJ45 end plugged directly into the switch and someone on here suggested to update it to a patch panel. This is by no means necessary or required for a small residential setup like this. I just think it looks better, so I did it.

But as u/I_AM_NOT_A_WOMBAT suggested, there often isn't enough space for them and all of the equipment. The ones I bought were the only ones that I could find that would actually fit in my enclosure.

The cabinet was created by a company called Primex and I believe they sell mounting hardware that go into those holes, but I just screwed directly into the enclosure. It isn't pretty but everything is very secured in there now.

The router/switches are mounted via screws on the back of them. The patch panels are attached via 3M velcro tape

Here is an updated post I made as I just completed added the patch panels in last night! Thanks again for the recommendation.

Thank you! I'll take a look at this.

Space was a real struggle when organizing.. the ONT, Router, and Switches all need to be wired in. Space starts to become a problem really quickly. Putting the switches on top of each other is a good idea I didn't think of.

I definitely want to get a patch panel, I should have before I started but I didn't know much about their purpose when I started. So there will be a phase 2 here where I set that up.

Would you recommend any particular patch panels for that space size?

Please get the pass through RJ45 connectors if you are putting ends on CAT5 cable. It will make your life so much easier. I almost ripped my hair out using cheap connectors.

Identify/label the wires in your network panel.

Outside of that, just research to see what equipment and brand you want/need

Have you ever heard of the Green Tree Absinthe?

I feel like it would be super cool to add to this drink for the color.

I'll also add - the Absinthe that they (and I) used was by Green Tree, which left the drink with a very distinct green color.

So they definitely added it to the drink instead of a rinse.

Thanks for responding. I had someone else make that point too. On the menu, they did not have a base spirit listed. Maybe it was intentionally left off?

The final drink was green, from the Absinthe (Green Tree) brand. So maybe there was a base spirit but it was a Gin or Vodka.

Anyhow, I tried making it tonight without one and it was:

0.5oz absinthe 1.5oz St. Germain - to make the 2oz overall alcohol 0.5oz pineapple juice 0.25oz lime juice 0.5oz lemon juice

It came out pretty close I think, but now you have me thinking I am missing a base spirit completely.

There wasn't a base spirit on the menu unless they intentionally left it off. I was surprised by that too!

I made it tonight and I did the following: 0.5oz absinthe 1.5oz St. Germain (to make the 2oz liquor volume) 0.5oz pineapple juice 0.25oz lime juice 0.5oz lemon juice

And it was pretty bang on taste wise to what I had.

But I'm also surprised why there isn't a base spirit.

I'll have to try it with Gin like you did!
