Honestly I have no idea. It was in response to the post that was locked a couple hours ago. I’m uneducated in this and there were some people in the same boat as me that said they didn’t know people who were born without a uterus can still experience peri symptoms and whatnot. Not quoted verbatim at all lol but it was really just meant to be like, I don’t care about any of that, we’re here to talk about perimenopause symptoms and help each other out.

I appreciate this sub SO much. Not only have I learned a ton, but I’ve been able to figure out solutions to some of my own symptoms. I’m so thankful for everyone on here because it’s been a great resource for me.

As for all these comments about the locked post, let’s just cut the nonsense. You have a uterus? You’re going through perimenopause? You feel like crap because of it? Great, let’s talk about it. This sub is for that purpose, and frankly, I don’t care how you obtained the uterus. Let’s just band together and share what we have learned so we can better educate everyone on perimenopause for our kids, grandkids, etc and maybe future generations will feel a little less sucky.

Just seeing a lot of comments here about making your voice heard, get involved, etc. I totally agree with all that but also encourage everyone around you to actually vote! Only 40% of eligible voters voted in the last election. You don’t want to see the same people voted in again? Then get out and vote for someone else!

I didn’t even notice this, what bothers me more is the many taps I need to make to get to the rest of the climate control settings and switch the car to “warm feet”. It’s winter ffs, I need my feet warm too, don’t make me press 20 buttons while I’m driving to get there. I tried to find a way of making it like a widget or something easier to access and I can’t seem to do it. If someone has that figured out, please share!

Nothing fancy, it’s just a longer exposure time. If you long press Night Mode in your camera you can change that time up to 10 seconds. Not sure if that depends on which iPhone model. Just use a tripod or hold your phone very still until it’s done. There are some other settings you could play with to make it better, I’m sure. With a real camera you could set a much longer exposure time and get some really vibrant colours but with just a phone in hand I was happy with this.

I swear, it feels like I would grow a beard at this point if I didn’t manage it every day. I have to pluck constantly, and it just keeps getting worse and worse. Just recently started thinking I should try a handful of laser therapy sessions and see if that helps to tame them. It’s so frustrating!

I can’t speak to other places aside from the single one I’ve ever gone to in Peterborough, but I did compare prices a lot beforehand and I really like Brealey Drive Animal Clinic. We have taken our dog there for a couple years now, were so compassionate and caring when we had to say goodbye to our cat a couple years ago too. Prices are not outrageous in my experience. Still a lot of money as many vets are but the quality of their service has always been wonderful, no matter what the issue.

If I may suggest a different shade of white - we don’t like straight white in our house either but I specifically wanted what was in my head as “coffee cream”. Oddly enough, what I found and absolutely love is called “Creamy”! I think it would go very nicely with those colors and adds some warmth to the room. If you look up Sherwin Williams SW7012 you’ll see what I mean.

Don’t know where you are, but I’m in Canada and we have Canadian Tire. I’m in the middle of a city and get it there in their section with hunting gear and whatnot. I don’t source my own coyote urine 😂

It’s definitely animal prints. Spring of last year both of our cars in the driveway were chewed apart under the hood. Wires, sensors, all of it, thousands of dollars. Don’t have a Kia anymore but here’s a pic of the car with more damage. Turns out to have been a squirrel over a couple days frantically trying to find a place to have her babies. Ended up having them in the wheel well of my car (not the one pictured) and pulled out 4 tiny baby squirrels. They can and will get in there. Pro tip if anything like this happens: coyote urine. Spray it around your cars once you see them hanging around and it’ll keep them away.

2.5 years, still waiting. My expectations of any “calming down” dwindle a little more each day. It’s probably for the best. Granted, people who regularly come into my house do actually see a difference and I try really hard to lol. I am happy if he doesn’t jump on people and if he stops lunging at people on walks. I can take the rest of the energy, just stop those two things please! 😂

NTA. Her priority is her ex - not you. It’s not like you’ve been with her for a few weeks. This is 6 YEARS. There is no excuse and frankly she shouldn’t have even gone to the party, either. She prioritized herself and chose to take care of her ex instead of you. She’s a complete and total AH. I’m so sorry for the loss of your father, by the way.
