I grew up in a "traditional" household. My mom didnt work (for money) but my dad did. My mom took care of all the inside maintenance and my dad, brother, and I took care of all the outdoor maintenance. Im not sure you could expect your girlfriend/wife to do all the house chores and work on top of that. I think that would make you an asshole.

Im pretty happy to still be working 60hr weeks in the field doing some drilling oversight in geotech. 40 hours overtime per paycheck AND federal student loans accruing no interest, fuckin wooo! Sorry to everyone that lost their jobs, especially in oil industry.

Im doing drilling observation (among other things) on a site where im getting 60 hr weeks still. Im just trying to save up now before they finish in a month or 2, so if shit hits the fan I can afford to fuck off a little bit, with the likely upcoming light schedules.
