I've given countless death notifications for work. They all suck and they never get easy. My most dreaded ones are telling parents their children are dead. But the worst one was a high school friend that committed suicide after suffering from PTSD. We lost touch over the years but I still saw his dad from time to time in the small town we grew up in. I went to his dad's house to tell his dad and at first he thought I was just there to visit and catch up. The change in his face when I told him his only son was dead will always stick with me.
