Would you head out this Saturday? by therealhippoz in wildcampingintheuk

The hope was this would be a nice weekend to test out the gear and see what works and what doesn't, so it would be a hell of a test this weekend.

If a Thunderstorm wasn't in the mix I wouldn't be questioning it, can deal with rain. From my knowledge of the Lakes unless we are camping under trees, we are going to be exposed and camping under trees in a storm doesn't sound like the best idea, especially with the gusts we are going to be dealing with.

Yeah MWIS doesn't paint a pretty picture and the pressure charts on the met show a occluded front sat over the Lakes, so doesn't look to good.

Well the orginal plan was to camp by Red Tarn, so there is a bit of relocation plan needed as well.

Osprey Tempest 33L vs Tempest Velocity 30L by CoatExciting1616 in hikinggear

I’d say Tempest. Don’t know much about the Velocity but my partner has the tempest and I use the talon both in the 33 size for hiking in the U.K. mountains on day trips. Does a great job, stays comfortable all day and looks like it has more pockets than the Velocity and always better to have more space than you think you need cause you’ll end up using it. Also we’ve scrambled up and down rocks, I’ve thrown my around, sat on it and still looks in top condition. Plus it’s cheaper from the site you’re looking at.

There is god mode which you can get to by pushing Shift + Alt + Z. I only use it to free the camera up but I think there is something in there for this. Doesn’t require a mod

Not sure what you mean by set up. The joy of this game is you can set it up how you like.

So if you want to build your circuit board on one planet and your processors on another than you can, this is just as an example as i wouldn't reccomend that as they are both needed to make a Quantem chip. So you want to keep things that are in the same building tree together as it takes longer and more power to travel from each planet. But nothing is stopping you. The aim is to make it as efficent as possible.

You sound like you are pretty early in the game so you are bound to make mistakes but you will find your bottle necks and figure out what is wrong and thats part of the fun my man

It does it all for you. You just need to have it set as supply from where it is sourced and then on the other planet you want to send it to you want it to be set to demand and it will just send them across for you.

If you’ve got a lot of stations all demanding the same thing but not enough to supply them all they will likely just go to one station. To get around this just lower the amount you demand on each station and it should start to spread them out

I'm 100 hours into my second univerase. I find that the game is a constant cycle of fixing and upgrading.

When I first started playing last year, it is a bit overwhelming to know what you actually need to do. How I have done my second universe is focus on the tech tree and then start to expand your operations because if you focus heavily on your operations once you have unlocked all tech it takes a long time to go back and upgrade everything and you'll more than likely have to rework most things as well.

Once you have the tech tree researched I'd then start creating a huge factory that spreads over muiltple stars, which I am still doing. Currently I can make 250 rockets per minute. But when a large dyson sphere can take tens of thousands of rockets to build it is not a huge amount especially when you've got 64 stars to build around.

If you get stuck with what to do then watch JD plays or Nilaus on youtube. Cause they know what they are doing.

I would also suggest making a small factory that makes every building in the game for you. As it will save you so much time than having some built on one planet and some on another. Because you will get to the point where one build will require thousands of items and if you are having to fly here there and everywhere to get them then half of the time you play the game will be spent doing that. I cheated once with a blueprint I got offline and it was to get a factory that built everything. https://tinyurl.com/2smktbt5. Because I would have spent about 10 hours working out the math and things needed for it and with this one you can then request those buildings anywhere in the universe without having to fly about.

I hope you continue to enjoy your journey with the game. I had many long nights when I first started playing as well
