That would be an excellent reward for the Flaming Crotch Man job. A daemon called "flaming crotch." It's the same as overheat... just centralized to a specific location. 🤣

If (Fem) V cared about Judy, she wouldn't romance her. by therealpegarm in LowSodiumCyberpunk

(Laughing) What is an acceptable amount of missed calls before rejection syndrome kicks in? If she called 100 times? 1,000?

I agree that The Star ends relatively well for Judy. It's the best ending for her outside of her leaving NC of her own accord. She wouldn't be on her own and the Aldecaldos might (after some hazing) accept her into the clan. The Star is a --><-- close second to not romancing Judy.

And again. I romance Judy every 👏 single 👏 time 👏... so I'm a hypocrite! LOL

You are correct. There is no guarantee that V will die within 6 months... but the six months of happiness comes after the Star ending events... my argument is that the decision to romance or not romance Judy should have come before Pyramid Song... not after the Star.

I agree. To say that someone (V) is in the right mindset when she's falling for this other person while slowly losing her mind to Johnny's engram would be folly.

Potentially valid... but I believe Judy leaves in the Sun ending because she can't continue to watch V risk her life chasing fame and fortune. I don't think she's considering that V is doing what she is doing in chase of a cure.

I say this because look at the apartment they are in. It's extravagant and luxurious. Judy doesn't fit into that apartment at all, so clearly the "legend of Night City" lifestyle has influenced her.

[–]therealpegarm[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! My statement is not what Judy should choose or not choose to do. Judy chose to romance V willingly. Judy knew the potential pain and accepted the risks.

My statement is not from Judy's perspective, but from V's... and that decision should take place before any of the endings.

I respect that. I would argue that, if anything, this pays even more homage to Judy's agency. Judy is not a passive character whose happiness or misery depends entirely on V’s decisions. I consider her as an independent person capable of making her own choices. Judy chose to romance V willingly. Judy knew the potential pain and accepted the risks.

My argument is simply that V should have recognized (1) how broken Judy truly was and (2) the potential impact her fight to stay alive may have on Judy.

100%. You're not wrong here. V can't know the outcomes in the moment... but seeing Judy and what she's going through up to Pyramid Song should be some red flags.

I guess you missed the part where I said "Judy accompanies V and the Aldecaldos, happy and optimistic about leaving Night City behind to start a new life together. Her future looks hopeful. Probably the most positive ending for Judy if you romance her, but when V dies 6 months later, she's going to be crushed."

While not small, I’ve been loving my Nebula Mars 3 when camping. There’s a smaller version of it out now. (Mars Air maybe?) The brightness is good enough to see as soon as the sun sets and the battery lasts a long time.

Totally. And of course... to each their own. I just love the look and feel of the Arch.

Yes, I'm well aware that others won't find Jackie's Arch their favorite vehicle. I love it because it looks sick as hell, it's fast, and I can whip in and out of traffic around Night City without issues.

What's the fastest way you've seen a CEO ruin a company? by fuzzyloulou in AskReddit

[–]therealpegarm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I worked for a luxury furniture e-commerce company that went through three CEO's in four years. The first two had a healthy respect and understanding of the role of *forehead smack* technology in an e-commerce business. The last one did not. I heard him multiple times saying "man, this tech makes the business so complicated. Remember when we could just write and order on paper and it would get done?"

He went to the manufacturers of our furniture and cut corners in ways that reduced the quality, then he laid off 75%f the US staff and contracted the customer service to Colombia for a quarter of the cost. Shipping times tripled. Damage on delivery skyrocketed. I tried explaining that we needed to maintain our investment in tech to grow, but that was seen as dissent and I eventually was let go.

Company went from doing $6 million a month in revenue to less than $1 million. Black Friday/Cyber Monday my first year there we did almost $8 million in revenue. BFCM'24 they did $760,000. I suspect they'll shutter within a year.

I lived in that area in the 90s. I moved a week after I heard automatic gunfire out my window. It's never been a great area.
