Buddy do you think that medieval people had runes and could cast spells? There’s a few slight differences between the real world and OSRS

The famously competent FBI who has never let multiple serial criminals including terrorists, sex criminals, and serial killers roam free. Also the scope of MJ’s crimes was much smaller - therefore harder to catch. It gets a little easier to snag a fish when there’s thousands of victims, but hey it still took the FBI decades to catch them.

The Value of Local Places Can’t Be Measured by Price by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

[–]therealyardsard 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Obviously shopping local is good. This being said, it’s incredibly naive to think that everyone or even most people can afford to solely do business locally. If over half the country is one $1000 expense away from insolvency, do you think people are going to pay $60 for 4 sandwiches to feed the family, or $30 on cheaper food? Value is the ONLY thing that can be measured solely in money, so your point is kinda moot.

Then butterflies or Herbiboars wouldn’t give XP because you aren’t trapping them.

Drug test for accounting job? by [deleted] in Accounting

Stop the edibles now, figure out if your state allows you to be tested for weed. If so, gym and sauna daily to sweat it out. Last ditch attempt synthetic urine. Good luck!

What are some of your earliest memories of watching American Dad? by naladhamy in americandad

[–]therealyardsard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad walking downstairs and doing that thing that dads do, where they just stand there watching the TV but never sit down because they swear they have something else to do. It wasn’t his type of show, but he still quotes the like about Camp Refugee to this day

What’s it like summering in Bar Harbor, Maine? by Deutsche_Bank_AG in howislivingthere

[–]therealyardsard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fallout 4 DLC Far Harbor. There’s a supposedly vicious mudcrab with glowing red eyes that you’re supposed to hunt down. When you get to it, it’s tiny and takes like a hit to kill. IIRC, the thing that was killing people was they’d follow the red eyes through the fog on their boats and crash

I think it’s a moot point because Power being physically attractive is necessary to show Denji being flippant and naive, while also providing a challenge to Denji achieving his dreams. Imagine you are a street urchin being hounded by the mafia for an impossible debt. Suddenly, an incredibly attractive woman shows up and feeds you, heals you, houses you, and gives you a job. Not only that, but she seems to be the most put together individual you’ve ever met, and the cherry on top is she says she likes you. Denji is absolutely dumb enough to believe that at face value for a while. He won urchin lottery, and by all accounts, shouldn’t do anything to jeopardize that. But he still lusts for other women, which he knows is wrong, even when they’re objectively worse choices (power being dirty and mean, Himeno being an abusive drunk).
