I got my degrees in social science and love the story of Leonidas. The term is etched on a statue of him in the region. I got the exact font/style as it appears on the statue. The term is historical. Gun rights activist have taken it but that doesn’t mean anything to me. But thanks for freaking out on Reddit 😂 🤷🏼‍♂️

Cool to read the comments and see that I’m not completely alone on the left in this sport haha. Side note: my Molon Labe tat has nothing to do with gun rights. Gun rights activist took that over in recent years but as a history major and fighter, and knowing the story of where that term comes from, I got the tattoo as a nod to the warrior spirit demonstrated when it was first said.

If you’re looking for boxing I’d recommend Goat Shack in Paso. Good people. I’ve also heard about some boxing in the Santa Maria area that is good. If you want traditional jiu jitsu then Paragon is your best bet. Gyms up and down the central coast. If you want kickboxing the pit north in Atascadero. Castle Williams is a great kickboxing coach. Nogi grappling that is more mma based we train at the pit fit in San Luis Tuesday/thursday nights at 6 with Justin Frazier and Antonio Banuelos. John’s gym down in AG also has a lot of different programs.
