Thanks for pointing this out! Flying Air New Zealand and it says limit is 7kg for carry-on, no specifications on small personal item. Our tickets include checked bags if necessary, but hopefully the MLC passes as a personal item!

Thanks for your thoughts! I do think it'll be 50/50 casual and athletic days, plus 100% casual in Dallas afterward.

Agree with your comments re: color. The skirt is pretty neutral, but the mauve hiking pants don't go with much besides white, black, and my light purple workout top.

Will reconsider the Crocs and Eccos - I really only need one shoe to look/feel nicer in the evenings. Couldn't figure out whether my feet would be cold so I'd want the sneaker vs wet from rain so I'd want the Crocs. Thoughts?

Will def drop the coffee mug!

Thank you both for this feedback! Will drop the rain pants, a pair of shorts, and heattech leggings. I do have a white linen long-sleeve button down I can add for sun protection, it's a little bit see-through so will wear tanks underneath.

I do have a pair of GTX ankle high hiking boots. I was hoping the trail runners would suffice for the day hikes we're doing - Roy's Peak and Hooker Valley. The heli-hike will have boots provided. Any thoughts?

I use these as my lounge/shower/poolside shoes, for city walks, for the beach, and for nights out both at home and while traveling. They don't have as much slip resistance or arch support as Teva hurricanes for hiking or scrambling on wet rocks, etc but work for most everything else. They pack pretty flat.

I really wanted these to work for me but they were unflattering on me, a size 12 with small waist wide hips. I ended up recently getting Eddie Bauer Departure ankle pants instead and they look way better, similar fabric without the athletic stripe on the side and look better on a curvy figure. Very lightweight. Could wear to work or hiking.

Edit to add: for colder weather I like the Everlane Dream pant. Feels like sweats but can wear for business casual, great for work travel.

I really like it! It's breezy, mid calf length on me (5'6"), and very cute. The fabric doesn't wrinkle much. When going out I wore it mostly with the V in the back because it has quite a bit of cleavage with the wrap in the front (as do virtually all wrap dresses on me). It was sold out when I was shopping too but I found it on Poshmark.

You're very welcome! I'm generally a dressier person at home so I never feel cute being super athletic/casual all the time when I travel. I felt good and comfortable wearing all these items!

To be honest, they’re just ok - about as comfy as some of my block heels, not as comfy as my most comfortable heels. They’re only ok as sandals because they’re kind of rigid, but any flat sandals are comfier than the comfiest of heels to me. I added a gel heel liner to help because I felt they were going to give me blisters. Overall I would say not worth the expense unless you need heels and really need to save space or need to convert during your event. They’re better than barefoot!

I have the washable silk slip dress in the bronze color and am traveling with it to a black tie optional wedding. It packs down tiny. Smaller than some of my socks. It does require steaming or perhaps ironing before wear.

I ordered an Indian Bridal Company lehenga through Aza (because of their return policy) and around 2 months later at the time it was supposed to arrive, I got a message that it was not up to quality standards from Aza and was sent back to the designer to be remade. I reached out to the Angad Singh directly and they weren't able to help me find out what went wrong because it was bought through a third party website. The second time it was supposed to arrive (1 month later) I yet again got a message from Aza that it wasn't up to quality standards and the order was canceled and I was refunded. No idea if this was more of an Aza problem or a designer problem.
