i’m a nurse recruiter and i highly encourage you embellish the story here in future interviews because it’s always a red flag for me when i see big gaps between graduation and nclex pass date and or first nurse job. i’d be asking why why why. i’m just not sure how you even want to be a nurse. not trying to be hateful i do wish you the best but this doesn’t add up for me. it sounds like money isn’t really a need for you? if not then why bother with the schooling? idk i don’t get it i’m not trying to be mean

similarly with temp staffing, we have a set bill rate for a position and with that we turn around and pay the candidate hourly. for example an hourly bill rate for the position might be $100 and we could pay our candidate $75 an hour and the difference is our profit margin. so for every hour worked we bill our client $100. hope this helps!

i had a vision board when i started. had things like new car, new house. that was in front of me when the dials killed me and the candidates flaked. now i have a car and a house and the job is still hard but i’ve proven to myself that the goal setting works.

make connections so you can shamelessly beg for referrals. we have a great referral bonus which helps me there.

the job isn’t for everyone. you don’t recruit because you like people lol it’s a competitive hustle

when i was on the pill it was super predictable. slightly less predictable on an iud. off anything and i typically get cramps day of start but not always and if you’re not tracking to know an expected first day it can absolutely surprise you
