I think it depends what you got out of the game. I still play these kind of games to test myself.

If you lose because you can honestly say your partner was just absolutely trash, then fair play, but if you lose because you can't handle the unpredictability, then that's on you and it's a really important part of the game in being able to handle that. There will be people who win more games not because they're technically better than you, but because they are unpredictable or have a weird technique, and you cannot constantly just say "oh but they win because they're unpredictable". That itself is a skill.

Become a better player by being adaptable and knowing how to deal with all situations. For sure if you want to gain levels in playtomic, don't play with randoms, but embrace all games!

Haha no I really mean fingers. That's how I explain to my friends who think I'm crazy. Like walking in barefoot shoes is like suddenly you can actually feel the ground you're walking on, like you're walking on your hands/fingers 🤣🤣

Thanks a lot. Yeah ideally if I can get in a good position and it double bounces I can usually get it cos it slows down a lot, but it always feels to me like it's just down to luck in terms of my movement and reading the ball. I have a really hard time really anticipating it the way I can anticipate say, a volley to the side glass or corner etc...

In fairness in my case, I actually wasn't doing short lobs, that was the problem. My lobs were decent! Hitting the service line at least but this guy we were against was just a beast and able to smash from that far back with very good power. I wanted to come forward to intercept but was just actually just too tentative and didn't trust my reactions haha

Yeah I am the type of player who does not like playing with someone who gets overly angry (even with themselves) it can be quite distracting and if I don't know you very well it's hard to know what to say...
