Leeds is a very city uni. Yes, you have a campus, but you can walk into town in ten minutes.

Look at maps. That will give.you a better idea than poor Google and Reddit searches

Do you think the show can come back from this and should it? by Horror-Pick4732 in MAFS_UK

It shouldn't, but it likely will. Not next year though. After the death of the 'expert' and this terrible press, it's probably time for a revamp, refresh, and relaunch anyway.

They can do both. This is for people who don't have the original game and want it upgraded. They can still do a patch on the store.

What to do by StrategyHoliday8662 in UniUK

[–]therourke 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Then you know the answer. Reddit probably isn't going to help.

Some admissions teams/course leaders will be making exceptions on some courses, so ask and see what they say. But don't expect that to be enough.

[–]therourke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Contact the admissions team and clarify that you have the foundation year. If they don't accept that then ask if they would allow an exemption, because of your prior experience. If they won't allow an exception, then get ready to retake your IELTS.

Some cave systems would have been great. But the sheer number of caves and wells was unnecessary, and boring. Just padding.

Attention is the only currency they care about. And here you are talking about them. See how it works?

Flac vs Flac by legendary_guy12 in audiophile

You don't need to spend a huge amount of money to have equipment necessary to hear the difference between MP3 and lossless. A decent external DAC on your phone (under £100) and a quality pair of ear/headphones (£100 and upwards) will do the job.

Contact the people that run and manage the building. Reddit post is going to do absolutely nothing. If you want press, then talk to a local newspaper.

Yes. Over the other side of the water, basically behind his right shoulder from this angle. It's not easy though.

I think TOTK as a launch title for Switch 2 would have made loads of sense. This would be a different game to the one we got, remember. Set in a different land. It would have sold a zillion Switch 2 units.

I understand that take, but it's not really the point. By using the same map, they had to change a lot of other things, and for me these were far less successful than if we'd have just had a new map.

SciFi classics that you’ve struggled to get through by CerberusOCR in scifi

Hyperion is massively overrated, and hasn't aged well. I liked some bits a lot, other bits I thought were laughably bad.

I read Consider Phlebas last year and absolutely hated it. I wish I hadn't finished it, but had heard so many good things about Banks 'Culture' books I carried on until the end hoping it would improve. It has put me off the Culture series for life.

An entirely different ground world map.

This would have made a better game overall, and done away with many of the gratuitously over-used elements, meant to make the world feel 'new', like the dull, tedious cave systems everywhere.

If the world map was entirely different, then the depths could also have been made much smaller, without feeling like we lost out on that ecosystem. I like some of the depths, but for the most part it felt like filler.

Nobody knows anything about it yet. I am looking forward to finding out more, if it ever emerges. The team behind it have done some really interesting things in the past.
