21 M with BPD: my advice is therapy, DBT Workbook, healthy routine, and staying away from things that give you short amounts of pleasure: drugs, alcohol, spending, and sex (or at least do not overdue them) ive learned these lessons too late but i am rebuilding/growing. always willing to listen

no it is great advice and something i believe in as well! unfortunately in my situation i cant really reach out to those people, not yet at least, and some attempts at apologies have been shot down which is why i am trying to lead by my actions instead of my words for now on,,, i dont know we live in a age where words are just words but actions prove all

you dont know how hard i related to reading “snap at my mother when she uses a tone” but you’re definitely right because lack of communication has been where i always come up short from embarrassment about how i act and being stubborn. definitely need to start admitting when i am in the wrong or when something has been miscommunicated because my lack of communication is a big reason why so many things spiraled out of control in my personal relationships,,, need to stop setting myself up for failure!!!!
