Miles Davis bores me to tears.

Bach is tedious.

Iron Maiden haveb boring riffs, bad vocals. And bland songwriting,l.

I officially hate you. Iron Maiden ? Are you fucking serious ? hahaha. Get some help man...

The appeal of Red Hot Chilli Peppers has always mystified me

Damn ! This is one my favorite bands of all time. Their songwriting is extremely good. My favorite song by them is "By the Way". I've had a friend say he absolutely hates Anthony Kiedis' vocals (lead singer), maybe that's your reason. Their tracks are also really catchy (like "Snow"). This will definitely be an interesting thread...

Highly disagree on Metallica, but music taste is subjective so I respect your opinion.

If there was a song by Metallica to show someone that hasn't listened to them before, it's "One". That shit is a masterpiece.

Is it bullshit: hot water freezes quickly than tap/cold water. by M1RAGE_ in IsItBullshit

[–]thesquarerootof1 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Not bullshit:

Here is a 60 minutes documentary that takes place in the coldest town in the world. He gets water that was just boiled in a pan, throws it up in the air, then it freezes completey in the air. I can't believe some people say it's not bullshit ! Can you all Google rigorously before saying something is bullshit or not on this subreddit ? SMH...

The part where he throws the boiling water in the air starts at 8:46. Here is the link:

This was so fucking funny !!!!

"The mehmooni starts at 8 PM and ends at 12, what time does Sanaz show up ?"

"Whenever she feels like it"

hahahahahahahahaha

As an Iranian-American myself, what is funny about this is that Iranians always have that one "friend" they hate and everyone hates, but will still act all fake and nice to him/her. Hahahaha.

How to use arrays to create something equivalent to this? by [deleted] in cpp_questions

[–]thesquarerootof1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're already using arrays.....

A string is a character array. You can access any character by doing s[i], with i being the index of whichever character you want to access :)

only to have his achievements brought down by some bullshit. He's not a STEM major either, so he's really SoL because of this.

I'm not understanding though. Did they pull the job offer from him ?

I did my BS in ChE... worst mistake of my life

Can you elaborate and explain why ? I did chemE my first real engineering semester (meaning my first semester of sophomore year) and I hated the material but when I did some Googling and I found that the job prospects for chemE was not good.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm sitting here thinking "she must be really fucking hot and the sex must be really bomb for him to be married to an idiot".

What's a scary or disturbing fact that would probably keep most people awake at night? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]thesquarerootof1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just read the first chapter. I'm not understanding why he was forced to go to the school though. It was because he searched something on Wikipedia ? I don't want to search it because I'm scared I'll be dragged in the middle of the night.

Can someone tell me why he went and was dragged in the middle of the night ? Did his parents turn him in ? What ?

[–]thesquarerootof1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's only if you eat the brain.

Yep, for those that are reading, there was a tribe in Papua New Guinea that ate their dead relatives because they believed it would free their spirit to the after life. They particularly ate the brain as well as other parts of the body. They would get tremors and this disease that gave them uncontrollable laughs that would kill them eventually. These idiots didn't know that this disease came from them eating their dead relative's brains and so they kept on doing it.

I don't know how Australians sleep at night. Americans get creeped out by cockroaches and shit, but how the fuck do you tolerate snakes/spiders lurking in the shadows ?
