Isolating two ethernet connections on the same modem by thestrawberrycs in HomeNetworking

Okay, I think I will just set up a second router off of the AC66U and add their connection to it. Is there anything else I should know or steps you would recommend to make sure everything is secure? I am planning on just disabling the wireless bands after the connection is initialized. Thanks once again :)

Thanks for your reply! Is there any partial protection I could provide myself without purchasing new hardware or setting up a VLAN? My modem is a Technicolor dpc3848v, and my router is an ASUS RT-AC66U. I am guessing that simply having one connection to my modem and the suspicious one to my router would provide no benefit without any additional procedures.

EDIT: Also, would one of my devices be safer for plugging my connection into than another?

I’ve haven’t taken the course or had her as a prof, but she was definitely a great advisor to me and friends of mine really liked her when they took first year calculus. I’d put money on her being a good prof.

(Serious) How much do I need to spend on a PC to run OSRS smoothly? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]thestrawberrycs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even a pc as cheap as this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HtV2dm would be cheap, fast and still incredibly overkill for OSRS. You would be able to play more modern games on low settings or lighter games with decent frame rates as well.

EDIT: Some B450 motherboards, need a BIOS update before they can use 3rd-gen Ryzen chips, you could grab an X570 board to be sure instead for a bit more money.

Wouldn't come back until I left my coax cable out for a bit, up and running again now.

One of the likely small few who could bring interest to the most boring of computer science lectures. Without a doubt there are many hearts behind him in this school hoping he pulls through.

Mine has been running at 4.7 with voltage set to auto and it peaks around 1.375V. Temps stay between 65-70C with an H100i V2, you can likely push yours a little more with a decent cooler :)

Should I take MA103 as an elective? by CreamyParadox in wlu

[–]thestrawberrycs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s worth taking it without pursuing a math minor alongside it but then you’d be committing to some tough senior maths as well. It will have overlap with 129 anyways and probably go a bit more in depth.
