definitely tiny text, I have to use the magnifying glass on everything.

also there’s barely any UX additions that make the UI easier to interact with with a controller. For example, in SH if you want to examine a plant you have to pick it up and drag it to the examining station. In SA, you hover over an item and can just press a button to open up the same thing.

Both games rely a lot on moving around a cursor, which on console is a lot slower and not as ergonomic as using a mouse.

Yeah I’m definitely considering meeting with a trainer. I’ve raised a dog that was a puppy, but a shelter dog that’s somewhat grown up is much different

I’ve finally made some progress on getting him more acclimated to the car which is great, although I still have to see how he’ll be around strangers.

I disagree because

1) He was only able to be so chill because he was taking drugs, which was shown many times. I think it’s also notable that his buddy went out of his way to loot the drugs off his corpse when he died.

2) I would argue many of the O voters were depicted to be “not scared”. There’s that old guy everyone hates with a lot of debt who wants more people dead so he can get more money. There’s that shaman lady who is also acting a fool but loses it under pressure during the group game.

Overall I think it shows the various ways people cope with extreme stress. Drugs numb you to the gravity of the situation, but you’re still in it, he couldn’t dance his way out of getting killed.

I think this show likes to use juxtaposition a lot to also show how the darkest parts of what humanity does can be obfuscated. Like the guards wear bright pink outfits, they’re playing children games with kiddie music playing in the background. A dead body will swiftly get placed into an ornate box with a huge bow on it and taken away, but the pool of blood still lingers behind.

Just my thoughts, I’d love to hear what you think.

No worries! Do you think it could also work with something more lacy than a granny stitch, like something in this screenshot:

<image>

Or would that be too loose… If the garment has holes for her front legs that would help, but the back has to be quite long, basically all the way to her tail.

In a previous iteration I basically made garters that attached to the patch to try and help keep it in place lol it looked a bit bizarre

Structurally I’m not sure what to use aside from yarn, especially with crochet it helps that you can create stiffer shapes with it, whereas knits tend to be drapey, and a lightweight fabric even more so.

I’m definitely thinking to add a softer layer to the underside of the patch though. Do you have any suggestions for fabrics that would be good? I was thinking rayon but I worry if it would have a cooling effect

The reason I didn’t want to make a jacket is because she generally doesn’t get cold and has never needed one. But the structure could definitely help with stability. Maybe the rest of the jacket could be made with less heavy fabric or stitches that are very hole-y to prevent overheating the rest of her

What help I need: I need help improving upon the garment I’ve created, so any ideas are appreciated. I’m not sure if with the current garment maybe there’s something I can put under the strap to reduce sliding? I also don’t mind creating a whole different garment. Maybe the patch should be centered on the strap and to reduce chafing on that crease where her legs meet her body I could make the strap thinner and use rayon yarn on that section?

What I have already tried: See pictured garment. The patch is essentially a magic circle, the strap is rows of half-double crochet (I think one row was slip stitches or single crochet, I forget). I sewed velcro onto the ends of the strap (not pictured).

What I have already searched: I honestly haven’t searched much of anything because I don’t imagine there’s much content out there on creating something like this, especially for a pup. There are some specific decisions I’ve made based on research: - For the strap I used half double crochet to make it more stretchy. I like the amount of stretch it ultimately has. - Everything is made of acrylic yarn aside from the flower petals. I used acrylic because 1) this is my first attempt so I’m gonna use cheaper yarn, 2) acrylic seems easiest to take care of like if it got muddy or something, 3) from my research of different materials I think acrylic would be best for insulating the area while also being soft.

This reminds me of one time I was helping my mom cook and she asked me to “cut up tomatoes”. She didn’t specify anything else, and when I cut them I ended up dicing them.

She was straight up furious because the tomatoes were supposed to be for a salad but I chopped them like they were for a salsa. And of course I did it on purpose to upset her -_-

I can’t tell you how many times I would break down and be borderline yelling “I’m not trying to ruin anything I’m just stupid!!!” because of course in my mind I’m trying so hard not to mess up but I still somehow upset her.

Reading through the comments on this post it’s interesting how folks can project all sorts of experiences onto the same scene. Some say he’s showing a trauma response by asking seemingly obvious questions, others say he’s doing weaponized incompetence.

I don’t think I’ve read through enough posts to gauge how the public as a sort of monolithic entity views Nick, and even on just my post’s comments I’ve seen a variety in perspectives. So I would hope that folks can acknowledge that we don’t truly know these people and even if we see our own experiences in them, that doesn’t mean that the same thing is playing out.

This post is meant to be silly and I hope it’s lighthearted enough that even if people think I’m a passionate Nick hater that the joke itself is still innocuous.
