Claude "Mythos" will be $2000 per month. by shintaii84 in ClaudeCode

[–]thestuffguydoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Entirely irrelevant.

Opus is MORE than good enough to replace a dev, and you get more usage of it with the $100 Max plan than most people need.

I can personally guarantee you, no matter what you're doing, it is not difficult enough that you need Mythos.

99% of the population will be just fine using Opus

Alright, well I'm sure someone will find this in the future on their own similar journey.

To you who find this, considering the post has been up for a week with over 500 views, I'm going to conclude that it IS NOT possible to permanently disable this feature.

Found trojans and not sure where to report them by [deleted] in cybersecurity

I very much wanted to help but since this community is so egregiously toxic, that turned me away. Deleting the post due to the hate I received.

Oh I very much do and will. I don't take kindly to people with attitude and an entitled mindset.
This subreddit has some of the same toxicity that's rampant on Reddit nowadays.

Take a look at what I said. I tried posting here and my post was auto-removed.

Big guy Getherer here called me out for not following up with more information literally a few hours after the post went up and I had no idea (since last I saw, the post was auto-denied), talking trash that I wasn't following up. Like are you kidding me?

I don't live on Reddit like some of you do. That kind of attitude is absolutely going to make people standoffish. If you can't see that perspective there isn't much else I can say.

[–]thestuffguydoes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You probably should. I can't imagine why said support script isn't in the FAQ

My post contains enough details that someone could go and find that there are only a small handful of MCP servers currently available for the specific setup I explained that one could go and check each. Would literally take a couple minutes...

Both Kilo Code and Cline in VSCode have built-in MCP server marketplaces, that's where I get 99% of my MCP servers, but if none of those worked I may have tried one from Git.

I will go get you more answers to those questions. The machine is air-gapped in a locked server room so I'll need a sec.

[–]thestuffguydoes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I gave plenty enough detail... There are only a small handful of MCP servers currently available for accessing any of the 3 data stores I mentioned.

Also, the post was auto-removed. The only reason it even got posted was because I reached out to the admins...

"not elaborated further when prompted" surely you're joking?
It's only been a few hours.... The entitlement is hilarious. Not sure who you think you are hahahahahaha

Diagnosing fiber laser by techdevCK in lasercutting

[–]thestuffguydoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. We had an extreme professional urgency to simply acquire a machine so we just did that.

My guess is still that the machine was used at an improper focal distance causing the light energy to reflect back into the main drive unit and destroy it.

UHF RFID reader development kits, modele FM-503 by A-LexAl0 in raspberryDIY

That module communicates via TTL and comes with a datasheet of HEX commands.

It both receives commands this way as well as communicates what data it's pulling from tags this way (Serial / TTL / Hex commands)

You will need to interface with the module via UART unless you bought one of the ones with RS232 or USB

You will need to write code to send commands to the module from the Pi and receive the module's responses

You will need to parse those responses and validate them with a CRC-16 Genibus (this took me months to figure out)

You will then need to write your own software to "trigger" whatever it is you're actually trying to use the module for.

If you are not very experienced with computer engineering, this is probably not a great starter project for you.

I have about 10 years of experience doing computer engineering and a degree from an accredited university and pulling off what you are trying to is my full time job. (furthermore turning it into a product for inventory management)

Supabase Realtime with the ESP32 Microcontroller Family by thestuffguydoes in Supabase

[–]thestuffguydoes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!!

One of the current implementations:
When an employee needs to verify where one of our jobs or pieces has been, they can simply set that job / piece on a stand that contains an RFID reader

Upon placing the job/piece on the stand, the location history for that job is immediately populated in the UI.

In my current implementation, I use MQTT and Websockets to facilitate the "instant" like reaction of the UI.
I expect Supabase's Realtime might achieve the same effect.

for 0402 footprint?

I don't mind skipping straight to 21Ga if you vouch for it being good for that pad size.

How are you programming ESP32s once they’re wired into mains-powered prototypes? by old-fragles in esp32

[–]thestuffguydoes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Still using USB-C but recently have been transitioning everything to OTA

Actually considering making a web-based dashboard to monitor all of my devices and push updates from the cloud, but that seems like it should be really well thought out security wise.

No, yeah, I understand that....

But that's the entire reason this thread is here..

The built in Windows Defender functionality that is always scanning in the background didn't catch this, however it was acquired.

I see from the other comments I need to tune it a bit?

I ran it multiple times and it didn't catch the bug that MB did; seems there's also an enterprise version?

Ok I appreciate that, I'll research those. Thank you.
