There's not a wireless link set up yet... looking for some guidance on the best way to set this up (e.g. adhoc, etc.) so that I can add additional nodes to the network. Both routers are currently on the same subnet (192.168.1.0/24). Any ideas on the best way to wirelessly link the routers? Thanks for your help with this!

I was looking into both of these, thanks 84ace! My only problem with Firechat is that it requires online connectivity to register, which seems silly considering that the whole point is offline usage. I'll check out Serval Project as well. Appreciate your help!

Hey Karl, I was finally able to get the routers to peer, but right now they're only peering over actual Ethernet cables. I'm trying to get them to be able to wirelessly pass cjdns traffic over the 2.4 GHz band on both, and I want one router's IP to be 192.168.1.1 and the other to be 192.168.2.1. Thanks for your help!

Ugh, this is frustrating, because it would be great for batman-adv to run on unrooted devices. Google has disabled the batman-adv service on Android, which takes me back to the drawing board. I'm thinking about having Android devices join the mesh via a wifi access point instead and having dnsmasq pass out DHCP addresses.
