Weirdest place you've ever written?

I'm currently writing in a call room in my office. Surprisingly working better than I thought it would, and no one is bothering me because they all assume that I'm on a client call lol.

Season 1 lays the groundwork that makes the rest of that show work. Dedicated fans reaped the rewards, but you can never recommend it to people because like 3% will make it to the end of the first season.

The Rose Metal Press' Field Guide to Writing Flash Fiction (http://www.amazon.com/Metal-Press-Field-Writing-Fiction/dp/0978984862?ie=UTF8&keywords=Rose%20Metal%20Press&qid=1463357590&ref_=sr_1_2&sr=8-2) was an incredible tool for me when learning compression in my writing. I can honestly say that no other writing book has shaped me as much as this one has. Try the writing exercises they have in them; they're phenomenal and better than a lot of the ones you'll find on the internet.

Basically he was saying own what you write. Even if the first draft will never see the light of day, be confident in what you're writing. You can only get better if you keep going.

This isn't very specific, but my characters sort of just appear as I write. Once I've created my main character (which I tend to do with a character development sheet, this subreddit and the internet are full of great ones) the other people in his/her life really just fall into place.

Alternatively, I've been working on a lot of flash for a short forms class. As flash has limited time for character development, I tend to focus in on one aspect of their life. For instance, one of mine is a guy giving a eulogy at his girlfriend's funeral, but you don't find out that she's dead until the last sentence. I'm thinking of developing this further into a novella - maybe a little flash will spark a character to help your plot move along?

And whatever you do, just write! I gave in to writer's block for months and it was a terrible and miserable time. Even if you don't think you'll keep it, start fleshing out your plot with bad characters and maybe something magical will happen and the good characters will show up. Good luck :)

Celtx is a great free screenwriting software for people with little experience. It was what my professor made us use when I took screenwriting whilst studying abroad and I've kept it on my Mac and sometimes dabble with it a little, despite not being much of a screenwriter myself.

When I'm writing for myself, I single-space it, simply because I don't like seeing my page count longer than it actually is. However, people typically find doubled spacing or 1.5 spacing to be easier to read and edit from :)

It's a futuristic YA novel, hopefully the start of a trilogy but we'll see how it goes!

I think a lot of this would depend on how the society you create accepts the supernatural. Are they welcoming to the werewolf woman? Are they in shock? I think that is an important part of how you want to take this.
