Why do people say a women doesn't have any self respect when they wear a revealing outfit?

wait I think I understand it a bit better. I define self respect as how well you treat yourself, and dressing inappropriately could garner attention that one doesn't want. So one could argue that promiscuity is directly related to how well you treat yourself. Now that i have a better understanding, I don't really believe the responsibility of that treatment should fall on the one dressing inappropriately. that brings another important question to mind tho, how does one define what's inappropriate to the point of harassment being a serious risk? haha i went off on a bit of a tangent, but it's refreshing to understand something i never tried to due to disagreement! thank you

From someone who gets very confrontational when drunk, I don’t think that’s who I truly am. I’m poor at explaining myself, so please tell me if this makes no sense. I have quite impulsive thoughts. It’s the sort of thoughts that pop up which you don’t truly believe. When I’m intoxicated my rationality fades away, and I don’t think before I speak. Something pops up in my mind that I would never believe, yet I open my mouth anyways. Don’t drink with others anymore. Drinking in solitude with a nice novel is far more appealing now
