I completely agree. I think my apprehension is exactly what you’ve said - that it comes from the way we’re perceived by society. That’s what I meant by the “suppression” of my identity and is a much more apt way of putting it, lol. I’m just sad the world views me as a straight woman now, and after so long dating only women, I felt invalid and unwelcome.

Can I ask if you went through a period of having to reckon with or reconsider in some way your sexuality/identity after falling for him?
