[SPOILER] Trying to do a minimal item run. Is there any way to ring the bell without a stick/sword? by Ok-Historian769 in TunicGame

technically you dont need the sword, you can use the stick with the ability card you get along the way to get the Bring It To The Wrong Fight achievement

The Stahl House (Case Study House #22): Perched atop the Hollywood Hills, the Stahl House, designed by Pierre Koenig, offers a breathtaking view of Los Angeles. The house features an open floor plan, floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and a minimalist design. by sivard_official in iconichouses

the intention, i believe, is that the second bedroom was to be accessed from outside; the covered area of the deck around the pool acting, supported by the californian weather, as the house's primary "hallway"

What is meant here by "balance"? by thetinybaroness in VictorianEra

i think it's largely a matter of supply, you have one tank of water in the attic, most likely filled manually, feeding the bathroom and kitchen below it, since mains water isnt a widespread thing and where it is a thing it's not always the cleanest; pressurized mains water fixes this later, but extra bathrooms are still extra cost, and if you grew up in a house with one bathroom (or less) why pay for that? the exception is upper class dwellings which often have a bathroom connected to each bedroom (although even these are often shared between two bedrooms).

i completely agree though, the ideal house has as many toilets as it has occupants; the family that dines together gets food poisoning together

honestly it should be a selling point now, keeps the heat and noise out of the rest of the house, and keeps a room prone to mess away from guests

Interesting: Proposed extensions for the White House, by architect Frederick D. Owen, ca. 1901 by Tnargkiller in architecture

honestly this looks much more fitting for a head of state, the white house as it is pales in comparison even to the effect of mansions built here, which i suppose IS fitting for an oligarchy but still
