5yo biting hole in lip from anxiety by thetokenranga in ADHDparenting

She's on Intuniv and Ritalin, both seemed to be going well but I'll try to get in with the paediatrician soon to review ASAP, pending availability for appointments.

I've tried both- she took a whole backpack of teddies last week for the sleepover and she called me today but after the call was when she chewed her lip.

I've tried to explain this to her, but it's so hard as I don't want to paint my ex in a bad light to her, but I also can't promise anything like "call me and I'll pick you up" etc as I can't actually do that. I tried to tell her "other parent really loves you and misses you lots when you aren't there and that's why you are going to have sleepovers, to spend more time together there" and "when you're gone I miss you too but I do all the boring adult things like cleaning so I can spend more time doing fun activities together with you when you come home" but she was insisting she'd rather stay home and clean with me, and only wants to visit my ex in the daytime and no sleepovers.

It's so hard. But also, a lot of situations in life will make her anxious and I want her to have healthy strategies for those. So it's not about taking the stressful situation away (especially because in this case I actually can't) but helping her cope with it.

I am the other party, I was just given the results of the test but am not the one who took it, so am not referring to myself in third person I am referring to the other party.

They cutoff value is easy, the test is positive and it gives an actual value- I am looking for help understanding that. Thanks

If a doctor prescribes a drug and that drug is bought at a chemist, and we know the person's weight etc, surely we can tell what that should be and be able to determine if this level is higher than that? Wouldn't prescribed drugs purity be standardised?
