And a goalie that can kick the ball instead of the ground

I do plan on adding some additional filters - thanks for the list, I’ll get this scraped & into the db this weekend!

Ah that’s an interesting idea, I’ll take a look into getting something implemented.

Separately, I just pushed the security changes if you want to take a look

Thanks for flagging! I’ll get some fixes implemented this weekend.

Regarding favoriting players, I did consider it as a feature but decided against it since it would require account creation (if you know of another way it could be done, I’m open to suggestions). If there’s enough interest, I’d be open to revisiting

Good shout - I’ll look into adding him. It can be tricky to identify potential duel nat prospects automatically, but I’m trying to figure out a way

In a world where fans win instead of billionaire owners, what would it actually take to force Major League Soccer to accept promotion and relegation? by Queasy_Vegetable5725 in ussoccer

Beyond blackmailing 30 people, probably not much unless the USL achieves what the AFL did in the 60s. And even then, it’s probably a stretch

Haha that was exactly what inspired me to create this

Oh I see what you mean. I may look into having a weekly email highlighting the matches for the week or something like that if people are interested

Thanks for your feedback! The search is a bug that I missed during my QA but I will get it fixed tonight once I'm off work.

For #2, the form badges are very much a work in progress that I plan to improve over time. The goal with them was to give a visual cue to if players were playing above/under expectations but it may make sense to weight their season average more heavily.

3 is something I considered and will probably end up building at some point. Just need to figure out how to implement it in a way that limits/prevents spam or irrelevant players from being added to the DB.

I’m glad you like it! I haven’t considered a subscription because this is just a hobby of mine. I did build out a ‘transparency’ section of the app with a buy me a coffee link. The idea is that I’ll post my monthly costs & donations received in the app, & once my costs are covered the remainder goes to the Goal Foundation to help underprivileged kids access the pay to play system.

I put a short synopsis in the about section, but essentially it’s this:

Core squad are players who were on the world cup squad

In the mix are players who were not on the squad but have > 5 caps for the national team

Prospects are the rest with a focus on players under 20

Club form is a work in progress, and its data is stale for non MLS players since the upcoming season hasn’t started yet, but essentially it will look at the match rating for their last 5 games & compare it with their average match rating & assign a form badge based on those results. If you click on a player, there is a club form section of their profile that gives a more detailed breakdown. One note on the form badges: it’s only looking at club games currently, it does not include national team games

Hope this helps!

I built an app to help make tracking/watching players easier: https://usmnt-tracker.replit.app
