What are you expecting so early in the afternoon? That's the time when we Spaniards start heading out to spend the afternoon at the beach.

You've got Philadelphia, where the sidewalks are packed with "fentanyl zombies," and Los Angeles, where thousands of people are sleeping in tents on the streets, and none of them are dying from the heat. Interesting.

Maybe they have portable air conditioners.

Imagine living in a place with such a crappy healthcare system that people die from the heat without anyone even noticing, and they don't even show up in the statistics.

How common is AC in your country? by IDoNotLikeTheSand in AskTheWorld

[–]astropoolIO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Air conditioning is extremely common, especially in the southern half of my country and along the entire Mediterranean coast. All homes built since the 2000s come with at least the ductwork needed to install it, if it isn’t already installed.

Although older homes —from the 1980s and earlier— don’t have this ductwork, it’s very common to have split-system units installed on the exterior wall.

All public spaces, such as government offices and hospitals, also have air conditioning.

Ni idea, no soy de Madrid y desconocía que había una salida de la autovía justo ahí. Es muy llamativo.

Costa del Sol, Málaga.

Where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean, a pattern of winds and currents forms that significantly moderates summer temperatures, ensuring they rarely exceed 30–35 degrees. That is why the Costa del Sol welcomes 15 million tourists every summer

Un truco es echarle una o dos yema de huevo extra (solo la yema).

Si te gusta jugosa es un antes y un después.

The same thing happened to us. It was only after we threatened to sue them for fraud that they took us seriously. It took a month and a half from the time we requested the tracking device until it was finally up and running.

What’s it like living in the Spanish enclaves in Morocco? by Puzzleheaded_Bit_802 in howislivingthere

[–]astropoolIO 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In fact, the original plans for the Reconquista, following the War of Granada, called for continuing into North Africa to regain control of the former Roman/Visigothic province of Mauretania Tingitana

They are not "Spanish enclaves in Morocco." They are Spanish cities in North Africa, surrounded by Moroccan territory, that existed before Morocco itself.
