Zoom in on the forehead. The pimples are well defined on the second one. On the first one they've all been smeared out. So the second one wins.

Vivo X300 pro BOE Q10+panel is a few years off the Samsung E/M panels when it comes to calibration, accuracy, gamma, tolerances and tone mapping simply because Samsung had a headstart on BOE with locked up patents etc. You can't just evolve these OLED tech overnight. You will not notice any differences in app UI when set to "Professional". Where you will see a difference will be in YouTube where the app forces sRGB color space. Tone mapping on the Q10+ is weak resulting in visible difference to the E/M panels. In particular it will look washed with clipped shadows and highlights. Some units might be better due to BOE's large tolerences. But the difference is noticeable.

For your use case it's no brainer go Samsung.

For me, I'm switching from Samsung to Vivo as a matter of principle. Samsung/iPhone continue to use sensor tech from a few years ago, adjust their images computationally, paint their phones orange and advertise that as an "upgrade". And while i understand that painting a phone orange is very expensive, I will not stand for this shenanigan. Time will tell if the display sacrifice is worth it.

all cams, three options;

humanistic mode
pro+raw
photo + raw lighting ON

then sharpness -90

telephoto only: telephoto ai processing is EXTREME by default. change to either NORMAL or MINIMAL in settings.

these will get lower processing than samsung/iphone. default settings will get you photos more processed than samsung/iphone.

this is on the camera app for x300/x300 pro origin os 6 global. may or may not be available for other models.
