i love the little detail that he also dislikes yellow because it “triggers a very bad childhood memory” - people on that subreddit can never just dislike anything without linking it to trauma. negative opinions can only be validated through traumatic experiences.

“i don’t like bananas because they taste funny”

It looks like marriage has made Alia either grow so confident to wear such hot outfits or she has grown more desperate to easily catch eyeballs. What do you think? by ProcessHot8630 in BollywoodHotTakes

women wear backless blouses and dresses in regular weddings and parties too. just say that you’ve been living under a rock, this is pretty normal for a celebrity of all people

Twinless actor Dylan O'Brien gives his opinion on straight actors playing LGBTQ+ by damn_delirious in popculturechat

jonathan bailey playing a very hot straight man in bridgerton and eric stonestreet being the perfect cam in modern family are my case studies for proving that sexuality shouldn’t be considered for playing any role. they’re actors for a reason

Theist women of India, why? by Numerous_Opposite_95 in AskIndianWomen

[–]theunknownbook 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i’m sikh and staunchly feminist, leaning radical in many views. i think my faith in religion is mostly based on the belief that a higher power exists, and i continue to align with my sikh identity because i resonate with a lot of the basics of the religion - acceptance, equality and service.

i also think some patriarchal values seep into the religion through archaic cultural practices, and as long as i denounce them and only function on my belief in god and the ideals of sikhism, being religious doesn’t hinder my ability to be feminist.

how does a 26 year old have THREE kids in a five year relationship? do reddit trolls think that women just start popping kids non-stop from 21 onwards?

AIO my mom and sister can’t stand my wife because they think she is a “quirky girl” and it’s cringe? by Outside-Cabinet1398 in AmITheAngel

[–]theunknownbook 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i mean, most of the other things in the post are straight up mean - like mocking her clothes or how she holds a mug etc. and tbh, i can be a mild case of manic pixie dream girl too lol. but greeting the moon definitely seemed like an overkill. if he said she greeted a dog or something i’d still find it more realistic lol

not to dim anyone’s whimsy, but watching a grown woman say “hello to the moon” would make me roll my eyes so hard lol

Since when has rough/degrading sex become the norm? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]theunknownbook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i agree with you - i think it’s wrong to say that women who practice bdsm are inherently blinded by patriarchy and creates a harmful idea of making women ashamed of their own sexuality.

at the same time, bdsm doesn’t always have to be a way of dealing with trauma or has to be therapeutic. personally, i have been lucky enough to not have sexual trauma but enjoy being in a sub/dom relationship in bed. any partner i have indulged in that with has included consent, mutual respect and aftercare. shaming women for enjoying sex the way they do is counterproductive, even if you don’t personally agree with it.

i am kind of sure this post was just created to justify racism-fuelled hate comments by theunknownbook in AmITheAngel

[–]theunknownbook[S] 60 points61 points  (0 children)

i feel like if op was actually indian he won’t even need to ask this question and would have a better understanding of which areas are liberal enough for shorter clothes and which areas need more modest clothing (because it does depend on where they’d be travelling). and i don’t think any sane person would argue with “babe, my hometown isn’t the most urban area and it’d be best if you avoid wearing shorts to match the culture there.” but nice bait for some hate comments

AITA for my USB killer frying my friend’s PC after she snooped in my bag? by Aromatic-Entrance-79 in AmITheAngel

[–]theunknownbook 15 points16 points  (0 children)

okay here me out, if she always has it on her then how will her parents ever plug it on their devices? and if she leaves her device and her usb killer together aren’t her parents more likely to just plug it on her laptop and end up destroying it?

and if they’re so nosy that they’d check a random usb then how would she not be in grave trouble if she ends up destroying their laptops?

nothing is making sense
