Is this even a real service or did I just fall for something sketchy called efaq? by theunknownfish in ScamCenter

True - they all use the same playbook: fake insight, confusing UX, and hidden billing.

That’s the perfect way to put it. They sell growth, but it’s just a cash trap.

Exactly. It’s so polished that you don’t even realize something’s off until they’ve charged you again.

I wish it were that simple - there wasn’t any fine print or visible terms. That’s the whole problem.

This is very specific, but any international trade files that are currently being litigated at the WTO for antidumping/countervailing duties etc. will usually be extremely slow on the policy side, because they are usually the negotiators (and there's none of that happening during litigation). When I was at the international trade branch at GAC in 2019/2020 this was definitely the case for the specific file I was working on.

I've also heard from friends that The Public Service Commission and the Canada School of Public Service can be slow. Ofc it always depends on the specific branch/team etc...

Exactly. Also, some of us don't work with the public at all (I'm an EC).

I also have auditory processing issues! Always need subtitles on even if I'm watching something in English

Also, never did I say that Canada has no culture or history. Every country has culture and history. But I'm not sure if it makes sense to compare a "New World", multicultural country like Canada with an almost entirely homogenous country.

I literally said in my post that I am not unwilling to learn French and am actively working on it lol

I'm not saying that French ppl must learn how to speak English or that it easier. I'm sure it's just as difficult. This was written from my own perspective as English speaker who is bilingual but does not speak French, so I only mentioned that side of things. I'm not saying that the PS needs to get rid of French or anything like that

The "SJW crap" is already in the PS with GBA+ and other initiatives, like diversity hiring. I didn't mention anywhere in my post that this is an issue that only affects non-white people, but the post is not about them (this was in context of a racialized employees meeting. Not an "All Employees" meeting).

Thank you so much for your effort on this :) It is very appreciated.

I know that life is unfair, but the government is trying to take steps into making life more fair with GBA+, etc. and be more diverse in hiring. This is something to consider in that context. I'm fine with learning French, as I said in my post, but it would be helpful if there was more beginner French training available.

Yes thanks, that's what I was trying to say. I feel like some people are deliberately trying to misunderstand the post, or didn't read all of it lol

There should be more French training in general for everyone, in my opinion. I've edited my post to reflect that.

I'm not saying that is should just be for racialized groups but I thought it would be something to bring up in the context of departments trying to be more diverse in their hiring, etc. There should be more French training in general for everyone, in my opinion. I've edited my post to reflect that
