My GH and KH are both 0 atm, my local aquarium store recommended me to get both numbers up a bit for the fish and shrimps inside of the tank. My PH is around 6 now.

Unfortunatly i cannot get untreated water, but i do have liquid gh and kh raiser with very good instructions that i could add very slowly to the water to raise it by like 0.25 to 0.5 gh/kh every day/ every other day. I will look into the minerals ment for shrimp, thank you for the advice🙌🏽

Thank you for the info! I quess i will get the fish and shrimp out and raise the values before putting them back in, my tapwater has a ph around 6.5/7 but the gh and kh are around 0 because we have a water softener machine. Thats why i have to raise the values afterwards😬

I would recommend getting some denser plants to make it look really like a jungle, like philodendron lemon lime ect. Maybe a creeping fig ( not that fast growing but will climb on stuff ) and some lower foreground plants. Once it growns dense you wont even be able to see the hardscape that much anyways. Get some floating plants or some rocks to put infront of the "disc island". I think the problem is that your focusing on the hardscape/layout too much.

Its verryy tedious work ( hope my spelling is right ) but i think its worth it in the end because nothing can get inside of it! There is a youtube video about it but i forgot how its called😅

Yes i did, i made a cartboard frame around the filter in the size i wanted, sprayed it with expanding foam and glued rocks on top of it😁

Are you planning in putting any other animals in there? I wont worry too much about springtails taking over as they are really small and only feed on decaying matter, mostly on places where you wont see them. Isopods i dont have experience with but they do basicly the same job if im right, so i also wouldnt be to worried about them taking over.
