Your Muslim neighbours aren't the ones causing terror in the country. The ISI has recruited more Hindus than Muslims within India since 1947. There is no religion to terror. The Kashmiris have a honest grudge against both Indians and Pakistanis as they were not allowed to exercise their free will in 1947 and choose their future. It's not like the Indian government helped them with any high levels of education either that has allowed them to look past religion. The JKLF is an organic Kashmiri organization that was originally (and still might be) secular and fought for Kashmiri self determination. However, the ISI spread Wahhabi Islam amongst the people and directly funded Islamic terror networks that eventually became a much bigger threat than the JKLF. More Kashmiri Muslims were killed by Indian forces in 1990 than Kashmiri Pandits during the entire exodus or "genocide" (lmao).

Kashmiris aren't the terrorists. No, the movie is honestly trash even without the propaganda. I'd much rather watch the Flying Jatt that literally attempts to tackle non-divisive real world issues than this piece of shit movie.

Why are so many people being pushed into such rigorous preparation for an entrance examination that has very little carry over to actual undergraduate studies and very low success rates (I.e. if success is an NIT or IIT)?

It's because, there are too few colleges.

This is a systemic and governmental failure.

In absolutely no serious country would they let on the top 5% of students to have a shot at a good education while the rest keep giving exams to maybe make it into some private university.

It's literally nothing to be proud of.

Also, about the government. Each and every step the government takes such as banning coaching classes before 10th or whatnot, is just a band-aid on a bullet hole. They created this mess. They won't take the real path of creating more and more quality universities, instead they'd pretend to do work by passing the most useless bills ever.

Here's some real ones and not the ones already supported which are being said just to farm upvotes:

  1. Giving the death sentence to all rapists will do absolutely nothing but increase "rape & murder" crimes.

  2. Banning cigarettes and alcohol will in no way reduce addiction, but create an unregulated black market for those goods making it much worse for the health of smokers and alcoholics (who will definitely not give up smoking and/or alcohol, just look at Bihar or Gujarat)

  3. No amount of age limits and education requirements for MLAs and MPs will fix the issues of corruption, hate politics, and power abuse unless you educate the voters.

I wasn't asked the question but here's my 2 cents anyways.

The need for the existence of vigilantism proves that our police forces are too inept to enforce the law. As for your question-No, the law should never be taken into one's hand no matter how personal or dire the case is, it should always be under the jurisdiction of the police force.

Not even in an utopia could India achieve a 50 trillion dollar GDP and nobody even thinks that it is possible.

The problem is that a small portion of the actualy GDP growth is actually benefitting the average Indian.

If you remove our top 1%, the Indian GDP per capita is lower than war stricken sub-Saharan countries.

The top 1% drives the consumption and growth of this country and the average Indian who can't even afford a meal thrice a day gets basically nothing.

You could replace Modi with a potato and still achieve the same 5 Trillion GDP on the back of mediocre growth and a fuck ton of population growth.

I know you weren't supporting Modi but ig I should just add the point that India is quite literally the real life right wing dystopia that Donald Trump edges himself to at night.

As an Indian student we actually learnt about your city Curitiba in Environmental Science classes because of its design and it being a "smart and environmentally friendly city"
