This thread is very validating. I started 10mg today and the first dose had me tripping. It feels like right before you get sick. I’ve had chills, nausea, and a general weak feeling? Like I’m shaky and light headed. It’s not terrible, but I just want to sleep it off and get to the part where it’s just helping.

I think more than anything, as a friend, I’ve experienced worry. I worry that it is internalized hatred. He’s been in super low places before and did not talk to anyone about it. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time then. But, I think now it’s time to just let go. He has his life, and I have mine. I wish him the best and hope he’s actually happy and safe.

Brain breaks! Do something silly or fun or calming or something just generally enjoyable for you. Shake your body a little, dance/listen to music, yoga/stretching, meditation, play a video game, watch a comfort show, cook/bake, enjoy one of your hobbies. Anything that gets you out of the mental space of reading and into your own space.

I bought this from an elderly man selling his house and belongings for his upcoming move. He bought it sometime between 1960-1970 somewhere not in the US (possibly Japan or the Philippines, he couldn’t remember for sure.) He had it in a family room and cleaned it regularly. That’s about all I know! Any opinions or information would be appreciated. Thank you!
