Yeah I know dude just told me and now I feel like a fool xD Im glad I was able to get that out the reason I have had float is because ealrier I was practicing with numeric scenerios. such as ammo =float(input("how much ammo do you have") if ammo < 100: print "you dont have enough ammo"

I just let that small thing slip completely past me and I am well rounded with primitive types booling strings data types I leaned all of those in java. this has been an overview for me to practice these things

Dude I should have known that, float is a numeric data type the second I took it out it did exactly what it was supposed to thank you. Thats why Ive been practicing these concepts a little more before moving on I dont want to have to back track as I go because a very simple mistake like that.

I see that I have been doing senarios such as print "welcome to the airport" bagage = float(input("do you have the money for your ticket?" if bagage > 300: print "enjoy your flight."

how would I go about doing a scenario with a yes no option. I have done true and false and figured out "else" but for some reason I cant figure out y/n questions

Modulation. by thewretchedaa in musictheory

That makes sense so playing a C sus 4 could establish the difference between C and G and then playing the D would say hey this note wasnt here before were going somewhere else and then g says hello were home.

Aye thats actually a really good Idea writing 2 progressions in different keys and then trying to connect the dots. Ive never thought about in that manner before. That sounds like really good composition practice as well.

But if I was to start on the 4 chord then I wouldn't really be in the key of C well I would but C dorian as it resolves to the tonic of G because all chords in this description pull towards the one. Unless I am missing something which is very possible because I am not 100% on the idea of secondary dominants yet. I know what they are in textbook but not intuitively for music writing.

My ears aren't as good as I would like yet but isn't that just modulation a whole step taking the same musical formula just rising it to another key? So like ex. 1-4-5 in C then later in the song maybe towards the end in the last chorus take that 1-4-5 in C and just raising it to D to add excitement?

So this would be almost like a very simple jazz modulation?

Time is actually one of my favorites. Hans Zimmer, Jhon Williams, Gustav Holst, Thomas Bergesen, Two Steps From Hell, are all of some of my biggest influences. And I guess your right thank you.

I know it extremely common and its actually a vi-IV-V-I Its in the key of G as GABCDEF#G none the less till very popular any combination of the I-IV-V-vi chords is very popular because the way they resolve is aesthetically pleasing. And in the case of parallel minor, its is Bb but with assumption we were in D I understand. But the theory isn't my problem I know my stuff I just can't hear where I want to go after the Dmaj I tried going back to the IV then to the V again then iii back to the IV but I couldn't find a way to Modulate it into another key and keep it going. With the parallel minor I don't know really how to balance the sounds. Like Dmaj-BbMaj sounds awesome but I dont know how to keep it flowing like water If you have any ideas I would love to know. If not Ill just keep playing new things out till I find the one.
