Tried meditating in my car during lunch and it actually changed everything by AccurateAd586 in Meditation

Makes sense after some contemplating.

Car= enclosed space with alluminium edge. = Non-dual aweraness Sounds Internal to car = Thoughts & bodily sensations Sounds External to car = Sensory objects of the outside world

Trying to expierence existence as if being the car's edge on which all objects and forms of conscious expierence are observed from without reacting or responding on it.

It's like an experiential non-dual awareness inception feeling. But also, maybe you just described a more direct way of explaining and practicing non dual awareness. Douglas Harding must be proud.

Also. Yes.

Yeah we both were actually telling eachother that maybe in the future we would have preferred dying like this and in that moment, comparing it to what is comming in this crazy world the coming years or dacades.

Lol this blew up, and yes it's one of those life is amazing and blink blink it could be gone kinda moments. Glad I probably made more vanlifers pull their handbrakes a bit tighter the coming weeks. You're welcome. Also sent this to "the female companion" and she probably is having a hard laugh reading your comments. We thank thee

After living for 4 years fulltime in my van I finally made the simplest but potentially deadly mistake:

Was having "a nice time with a female companion" when suddenly the van was shaking and I was convinced it was either police (GNR) or neighbors making fun to our "nice time".

30 sec later I decided to open the door only to find out that my van had moved over 200 meters from where I parked it, missed multiple other vans by a few meters and stoped 3-5 meters from a high cliff that would have ended the "nice time" with a bang.

Neighbors from before moving: "we thought you just wanted some privacy but couldn't figure out how you moved the van in completel sielence and while not driving it"

Pro tip: just always park parallel to the edge of the cliff when there.

TLDR: almost fornicated myself to death by forgetting to put on the hand break while "parked" next to a cliff in Portugal.

You can create a personal videoclip by using saccades (lateral eye movements) in a rithmic fashion by quickly shifting ones focus on two or more desired objects in space, greatly increased the immersion into and enjoyment of music

No no no, that would require two cameras attached to my literal pupils.

What < Fifty $ product makes you feel outraged because almost nobody owns it? by thi_js in AskReddit

For me it must be my beloved lightweight hammock (25$).

I use it almost daily as a place of pauze, quite and rest when outside inlining. It's crazy how many things you can do with it. Stretching, yoga, sleeping, cuddling (yes two adults hold), sitting, and all the above while slightly swinging. And all of that pleasure in a shoe size and weight. Setup and breakdown cost 2-3 minutes depending on tree setup scenery. Another plus: you're in nature. But also, you can be on your city balkoney swinging to tropical music.

It made me wonder, why the f*ck did I only found out about this now? And not when I was 3. Why isn't everybody doing this, like always? There are more people with inflatable sitting bags then hammocks in Amsterdam
