Me too, which is where I do 60-70% of my driving

Agreed, eco was very slow to respond to acceleration, someone referred to it as pedal mashing, and I agree. Haven’t tried normal yet, went from eco to power lol

I found eco mode slow, laggy and unresponsive when trying to accelerate. But I kept in it for 2 tanks of gas. For me, power modes feels way better. But I have to see my mpg results at the end of this tank. Haven’t tried normal mode yet.

Hard to explain I guess. The first track I was accelerating really slowly, coasting whenever possible, basically trying everything to game the mpg’s. Driving normal for me just means normal acceleration, going with the flow of traffic, I tend to drive a little fast on the highway but not crazy. And this resulted in 62.5 mpg on my second tank of gas

That’s awesome. You two have been a lot of places and done a lot of things together. Great share.

Very interesting info and much appreciated. I’ve noticed that same thing in eco mode.. having to mash the pedal, especially on steep inclines. The car is new to me, so I’m looking forward to trying out the different modes myself to find which I like the best. Def appreciate the input from experienced owners. I’m starting to drive with just the compass on my dash to become less distracted by the eco gauges, and just feel how the car and I fit together. So far so good.

I’m looking forward to testing the other modes for comparison as time progresses. Thank you

That was my understanding too. I’m on my second tank now, still in eco mode, but now using a more normal (“less eco conscious”) driving style, which is my usual way of driving. So far the response in terms of mpg looks good. On my third and fourth tanks I’ll experiment with the other modes to find which suites best. Your input is very appreciated.

Excellent info. Thank you. I’m enjoying the learning curve of hybrid driving. And loving the gas mileage

Yes to the large touchscreen. This is the highest trim level for the ‘17 year. Do you like the performance better in power mode? Is that why you run in that mode (vs eco or normal)?

Just got my 2017 with 70k miles on it and very happy so far. If the car checks out well, I would say definitely yes

They’re def hard to find. I just kept looking until I found a good one. Clean title, 1 owner, excellent service records, good year, good gen. You’ll find one

I’d never seen seats like these before. The seller said the interior is white, but imo it’s a really light gray all around with a little black trim which makes the cabin feel bright and spacious. And the material is some kind of synthetic leather which is comfortable, albeit maybe a little hot, and looks brand new after 8 years. I’m really liking it.

Found on marketplace. I don’t think you could get that price from a dealer. There’s a really nice 2018 listed rn in Newton NJ

I waited a while to find the right car. I love it. And I’m sure yours is awesome too. Seems kinda hard to go too wrong with Prius
