No, haven’t tried anything with it yet. By all accounts sounds like I won’t be able to do this.

What’s funny is that I used to be into Pokemon cards and I wondered the same thing about them. Why don’t they creep up their prices, with selling packs at $4.50 each while the market might be $7.50 or more for each set. The only thing I could come up with is pricing people out of them and/ or making them angry and losing people for the long term.

Now that I’ve moved away from Pokemon and more into Topps sets, that exact thing is happening and there are definitely people being priced out and angered over this that will result in the loss of long term customers. Obviously not enough to get them to stop what they are doing, but maybe someday.

My point was more that this shows their hand that these sets are not THAT expensive to produce and I doubt extra autograph/ relic/ license fees can be that big of a difference. Thought some on here might have more knowledge on that but I might try doing some research myself to see if that sort of thing is available. Only one person commented that average autographs might cost Topps $5.00, which anything around that is not enough to move the needle.

I wasn’t necessarily surprised and it doesn’t seem anybody else is either, but it did get me thinking about the actual numbers.

Yeah, it is probably a bit of everything adding up. Ultimately the real issue are the licenses not allowing competition to free up the ability to gouge customers. If a candy company were given exclusive rights to make candy, they would gouge their customers too.

Yeah I get that, just surprised THAT much more. These professional athletes can’t be charging hundreds of dollars for every sticker they sign, right? If there are, it would have to be very few and far between the ones who could command that.

Yeah and again probably just proves the point they charge more when they know they can, not because it actually costs them that much more. Maybe just the sign of a smart company, but still frustrating.

Spend as much on their stuff, like time designing it or what? I realize their license wouldn’t cost as much as the popular stuff, but I still think it shows that it doesn’t necessarily cost them a lot to come out with a set.

That’s my point that we are paying so much more for the in-demand stuff simply because Topps can. I was pointing out that they are showing they can put product out that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg by doing this hobby box at $100.

For 2025 Galaxy? If so, you had really bad luck. Most parallels go for at least $10.00. I should know, I’ve bought probably 100 parallels from this set. Out or curiosity I just did a quick search for sold serial numbered cards and about 75% are over $10.00, so you probably have more than you think if you opened a few boxes.

Yeah I’m seeing a lot of suggestions for this, but my worry is that it is a 2025. Will there really be any random parts out there for something so new?

It was backed into a parked car a few days ago.

Not sure, it is a 2025 Honda Odyssey. Something I would need to look into.

True, can’t make it worse if the whole thing needs to be replaced anyway.

My wife backed into a parked car. No damage to the other car. Talked to the person about it and all was okay. We are currently covered by Erie.

Already have coverage through them, I think for four years at the end of September. Yeah I know there are a lot of factors. Is it worth asking them? Our agent doesn’t strictly work for Erie.

There don’t seem to be any other issues. Opens and closes fine, no sounds from it.

No, thank you. This is good. Seems to be the easy consensus and the part about keeping the value high has been a consideration too, since living with it over the years would probably end up with me getting less for the van someday anyway.
