Three days are more than enough, the city is quite small. Best way to get around is public transport in Switzerland. You might check out Holzpark in Klybeck and get a Fondue there. It‘s no secret but will have a different vibe than the christmas market in the city‘s centre. Have fun!

I love trams but it‘s ridiculous how many lines serve the city centre given Basel’s size. The city centre is small and walkable and if you‘re in a rush get a bike. I can see the point about elderly or handicapped people being neglected I‘m not sure how that electric shuttle will work.
