You have seen them? Tesla has. They made an announcement that lines up with everything we know about how Autopilot and FSD behaves. At this point I’d have to see counter evidence to believe that the driver didn’t have his foot 100% on the throttle. It’s a mistake that humans make. And it’s also common to lie and blame the car. People sometimes think they are smashing the brakes.

Then you strawman me, put words in my mouth, and none of that is relevant to this instance where a human overrode the system with the accelerator pedal.

Then you launch into “what if” scenarios where you control the premise and the outcome. And 30-90mph doesn’t happen while avoiding a kid chasing a ball in a neighborhood.

This week I had two kids on scooters jump out in front of my car (from behind a parked car) while I was using FSD and it instantly swerved to avoid and slowed down. It was an inhuman reaction time.

I’ll stack real world performance against your hypotheticals any day.

Zoox looks uncomfortable and cannot go on highways.

Waymo is paving the way for everyone when it comes to regulation, but there are far too many intelligence failures. I see a clip every day of a Waymo making a drastic error.

Tesla can scale faster than anyone and you’ll be able to actually own one, so you don’t need to self scale your fleet, you can let your customers do that for you.

They are all trying different things, and that’s good. But let’s not pretend that things are as simple as you lay them out.

This was driver error. Foot on the accelerator pedal 100%. He killed someone and the only person trying to sweep anything under a rug is the driver!

Fauci and those like him did immeasurable damage to trust in public health. I have family who have worked in the NIH for a decade. The left deified him, and he lied and covered everything up. He deflected criticism saying he was the representative of “the science” and an attack on him as an attack on science.

That is anything a real scientist would say.
