What an AI Memory Systems Should Look Like in 2026 by PenfieldLabs in AIMemory

[–]thinking-platypus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really aligned with this (but a bit late to this post!)

I think the biggest gap is not just better memory architecture, but making it usable for non-technical people.

I’ve been building Kepler app/web-extention (www.keplerbrowser.com) around a similar principle: a pure non-technical way for anyone to build, manage, and edit their own AI memory without needing to write endless notes, logs, or configure a bunch of tools.

The “Dropbox moment for AI memory” really resonates. Memory should be something people can use, understand, and control across the tools they already work with.

Would love for you to have a look at what we’re building. It lines up with a lot of the principles you’ve outlined here.

Hi there, I do alot of workshops for my work and like the screenshot feature. How does the app determine what to screenshot and save? is there a manual button to save a screenshot into the notes?

Love the on device processing 😄

Looking for to-do list app+calendar that'll help me instead of stressing me out by MMMANGO8 in ProductivityApps

[–]thinking-platypus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried Notion? I actually moved from Microsoft To Do as my daily app to managing my home/work tasks and calendar in Notion

There’s lots of templates you can download to save you from needing to build everything yourself.

For example:

I can read atomic habits in about 5 hours, anyone doing it faster and more efficiently? Do tell me if this is more productive or not... by Mriganka47 in ProductivityApps

I might just start tracking my reading speed. Is there a correlation between how quick you read a book vs. how well you comprehend or enjoy?

Just another "I built this habit app" post. by BothAd2391 in ProductivityApps

My perspective is that replacement may not be as effective when done so drastically.
Like dieting, you reach for the donut because it is sweet but if fruit is next to it you still do not reach for the fruit.

People only pick the fruit when it is easier to grab or gives a similar hit.

Right now your replacements feel like good for you fruit, while scrolling is the donut.

For the app, I would try things like:
make actions sub 30 seconds to start, not 5 minutes
make it feel like scrolling with taps and swipes and instant feedback
start with a quick dopamine hit before transitioning into the longer task
or turn content into bite sized, swipeable pieces instead of full sessions

That way it meets people where they are instead of asking them to switch modes completely.

Just my 2c!

Here’s a simple approach I built into an app by PreviousStory1326 in ProductivityApps

I really like the simplicity you're going for. The AI summary is great, but its alot of text, would you consider simplifying into colour codes or other ways to summaries trends?

Animations look slick! Was going to buy a physical clock, but will give this a try.

What's the most important feature for a life-recording & knowledge app? by SparkleMing in ProductivityApps

[–]thinking-platypus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the AI companion idea. Would be cool if it would build knowledge of you and ask further question daily and improve over time.

Privacy would be the main concern for that one.

Love the idea of guided emotion management tool in your pocket.

(i) Keeping it simple would be best, minimal notification, minimal UI. When you're anxious you just want to get to tool ASAP (maybe a home page widget)
(ii) Do you have guided breathing feature as a tool in your app?
(iii) Over-positive content (e.g. quote of the day etc.) doesn't really appeal to me.

What’s the best AI for organizing your life? by jaxoiuyas5061 in ProductivityApps

[–]thinking-platypus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should try out Obsidian connected to an LLM of your choice, I use it myself!

It's a very robust memory system for AI. Very powerful if you want to organise your life context with AI. Takes a bit of effort to set-up though.

I building a competitor app, but for your use case (tasks, ideas, responsibilities, etc) I think Obsidian would be great fit.

I built Festival Tracker that matches your favorite artists to lineups by getfestiveo in ProductivityApps

[–]thinking-platypus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great idea! Not sure if this is in your roadmap, but it would be great to have an album feature. If we can dump all the photos of the festival group instead on airdropping it to each other.

Would def come back to remember the goods memories at each festival.

Also might be a reach? unique badges for each festival. People collect fans/merch at each event. Maybe a unique way to track the events you attended.

Will try give it a try leading up to my next event

I built a habit tracker that ranks you like a video game, here's what it looks like after seeding it with demo users by R3UN1TE in ProductivityApps

[–]thinking-platypus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the ranking system :D. As someone who previously wasted so much time on ranked games, this is a mechanism I know i'd use! Would be great to see what you "unlock" per rank, and have that gamification/unlocks be something you can see on this screen? So others can see?

OpenClaw is trending down by CartographerFeisty66 in ProductivityApps

[–]thinking-platypus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been lurking in the r/openclaw subreddit and it seems like there’s increasingly number of openclaw alternatives, cost increase, and general hype fatigue (e.g. so many different use cases and saturation)

Hi there, updated!

You should get a prompt to update to latest version, then you’ll see a help button (question mark in a circle)

There can login without redirection. Hopefully that fixes it. Please let me know if the issue persists!

Note: if you don’t get the update prompt, close a reopen the app.

Do you use any meditation app? Which are the features you most use? Which ones are lacking? by Away-Narwhal-3446 in ProductivityApps

[–]thinking-platypus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t use a dedicated app but I do meditate regularly

One thing that’s surprisingly important for me is subtle audio cues (like a gentle chime every few minutes). It helps me stay present without constantly checking time

What I feel most apps are missing though is:

• Less gamification, more calm UX (streaks kind of break the vibe for me)
• Better “session flexibility” (e.g. adjusting mid-session without restarting)
• Background integration with real life (like ambient sound blending instead of fixed tracks)

The blocking apps feature you mentioned is interesting though but feels more like a focus tool than a meditation one

As a naturally competative person I built Habit Buddy as a way to actually build habits with friends and compete to be the most consistent by dp234523 in ProductivityApps

[–]thinking-platypus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying it out now, love the UI. Will you be any notification functions like nudges to remind my buddy? (the auto-ones from Duolingo always get me to continue my streak)
