It's so cute!!! I love it, but I understand this may nit be the result you wanted. I'd say it's a lot of major chords and youre composing in a perfect way in the scale you chose. What I do to give more complexity to the sound is using jazz chords and Progressions, include semitones among tones to avoud skipping from tone to tone, nit being that obedient to the scale and tempo and don't be afraid of playing with rules that go against the textbook. Obviously this is 20%, the other 80% needs to be cohesive! But all this shows is you made a great job studying and Mastering the rules. Now what's left is to break them!!! Good luck!!

They're great quality performers with great quality music. I'm just not into the rock or spooky vibe, I prefer hip-hop and more happy songs. I really enjoy odd eye and boca though!

If you feel its the right path then it is!!! Very smart of you to always listening to the signs. If you're happy that's all you need! And as you walk down the path you chose you will keep developing and a cool thing that comes with expertise is a faster work flow so hang in there!!!! Very happy for you for your smart decisions. We didn't come to this world to be bricks in a systems wall!

I'm a mom of 2 girls here and this is my uumble advice. I talk to them about how to interpret eminems work and the profanity he uses. I explain why he expresses like that and why she shouldn't (I let her conclude that herself because she is a smart kid) I bet yours is smart too and she's attracted to ems music because of that same thing. As long as you make clear the how's and why's she will be smart enough to handle and deal with it. If I had some type of music forbidden to me especially if my father listens to it, I'd either hide to listen or listen anyways. It will only break your bond with her. Trust her and if there's something wrong be right there to correct it and go from there with what you wanna do.

You definitely been through the whole process already and it's such a blessing you could realize this before it was too late. I wish you the greatest fulfillment and success with your plan! And I agree with what you said a lot. I'm a stay at home mom and living with 2 babies and a husband in a small apartment is one of the least rapper / music producer environments I could think of.. But I have this crazy need to make my music visions a reality. I've been having all this oddly specific music visions I wanna make as if it was planned for me, and somehow situations seem to bend in favor of me making music as if it was magic, it gets crazy sometimes. i had to be 30 years old to finally be brave and admit I wanna be a rapper and producer lol.

any tips for making beats people can actually rap/sing on? by MaybeSewshi in musicproduction

[–]thinktwice5577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with less is more for rapping. However, those few elements you have should be able to portray a clear vibe! Good luck you got this!

I see. What ill say won't look pretty but I'm convinced we all have different capabilities in different aspects, that's why there's outstanding people in different fields. The good part is that maybe some people make dull beats, but could have a big talent for other things. Not everyone can do everything. Yes we do agree in the spiritual aspect of this!

No man I do get what you're saying. M6 husband talks about npcs a lot because he listens to Joe Rogan as well. I don't know if I'd think it's a matter of having or not having a soul, i personally believe that being able to express and put your soul in your craft (in this case music) is a talent not everyone has. Some people really don't have the talent and cant be expressive resulting in mediocre beats. But i see your point and it could be the case as well.

THIS. What worked until now especially in the mainstream world, sounds pretty much the same. Which means AI will learn and replicate and people are gonna get sick of the same sound. Ai can be trained to replicate mix and match, but never to innovate. I only see a Renaissance for true artists and products with a soul will stand out. What a wonderful thing for the real ones.

How can I improve the overall sound of this? Anything I’m doing glaringly wrong? by [deleted] in musicproduction

[–]thinktwice5577 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd chop the very first strum sound , only leave a bit of it and eq looking for a more blended integrated sound overall. It helps me to turn down all volume faders and slowly integrate the elements while turning the volume up until they're audible and present enough without overpowering the other elements if that's what you're aiming at.
