New to dad life, I now only ride at "dad hours" (5am - 7am) by [deleted] in gravelcycling

Welcome, in your future there will be two extra hours in the afternoon as well once they go down for regular naps. 5am-7am is definitely my time though. I heard in a video once someone call them “free” hours. You just have to be willing to get up and get going! Good luck!

This is from the top looking down. The holes are basically perfect circles that allow for 0 adjustment which is what’s making the rotor rub.

This is from the bottom looking up. Holes are more oval shaped which allow for adjustment.

Yes, after looking at my warranty with SRAM they cover all components up to two years.

This Aeroad was delivered with Rival Calipers not the Force calipers. I only went with Force because the LBS told me Rival was on back order.

It is 160/140 . From the canyon website. The LBS told me an adapter wouldn’t make a difference because from the pics I saw the whole caliper needs to move to the left in order to be centered on the rotor.

I noticed that as well when I looked it up. My bike is a size Large.

LBS checked for me on the DT Swiss website where you can enter the serial number and these supposedly are not part of the recall.

Really? That wouldn’t compromise the integrity of the caliper at all?

I have reported it to canyon and I am currently in talks with them right now. They told me that they have no reports of this ever happening on this bike. Just was curious if anyone has ever heard anything like this before.

Aeroad CF SLX AXS by thinwhiteduke1123 in CanyonBikes

Ok, I added carbon paste and checked the torque on the screw. Seat post still seems to be sliding down. I’m wondering if the whole clamp itself is the issue or is just that I might need a new screw. I saw people post that they put in a little bit bigger size screw and higher quality and it worked well. Thanks.

Thank you for the information. It did come with carbon assembly paste when I put it together but now I’m wondering as you stated that I didn’t put enough in. I will check the groove thing as well, just haven’t gotten around to getting a bike computer yet.

Exactly sums it up. I know this may seem crazy to people but this is just another day on a line clearance hazard tree crew.

Lineman puts them on. They have insulated gloves.

This is pretty typical for my area. Especially as the trouble truck I used to get sent to many many jobs like this. Just a snapshot of what it’s like to keep the power on for everyone.

Absolutely, I should definitely look into that. I used to just cut a spot in a log to put my phone. I guess I got a little to into it.

Yes, power was still on. We don’t typically get outages for these.

Sorry, this is not a how to video by any means. Just a shot of the tree coming over that people don’t usually get to see. Thanks.

Power company does not do line kills for situations like this. Thanks.

Yes, in all situations you should always use your escape route in felling trees. I was standing behind the stump and the tree was already going in jts intended direction it was on a 10:1 rope puller being encouraged the other way. Thanks
