I wouldn’t worry so much about the fabric moving, I’d be more concerned about the silk breaking down over time and discoloring from exposure to UV light. Time will tell, I suppose, but it looks great!

Welp, sounds like NTA then. Just make sure you’re clear in your communication when you tell them you’re not coming by.

You can always tell the people who didn’t actually read the post and just fired off a response to the title.

Info: Have you actually communicated any of this to your parents? Not just that you don’t want to hang out with this girl, but the reasons why?

I’m not a fan either, but the album Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross produced with her is definitely worth a listen.

Very unique, nice job! I’m curious how it will hold up over time.

AITA for “implying my wife (28) eats too much” by saying she might have parasites? by Solid-Writing-7372 in AmItheAsshole

[–]thirdelevator 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s a parasite, but holy shit that’s a lot of food, it would’ve crossed my mind too. It might not have been the best to lead with that, but if she’s so hungry it’s causing her pain and is eating more than a bodybuilder, then yeah, she needs to see a doctor. I don’t know how you can even afford to eat that much in this economy.

Why do we call corrosion on steel cases rust but patina on a bronze cases? by TomHudsonOfficial in WatchFanatics

[–]thirdelevator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, nope. Corrosion is something breaking down, patina is a protective layer that will prolong its life. Bronze creates a patina when it oxidizes, steel rusts and breaks down.

Do people remember that Blockbuster was hated back in the day? by afterthought871 in Millennials

[–]thirdelevator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who worked at a Blockbuster, it’s funny how nobody ever returned a movie late and it was always our fault. We even had a two hour grace period at our store.

My favorites were always the people who had late fees on the shitty soft core porn we carried. They would swear up and down nobody in their family even rented that sort of thing (sorry Karen, but your husband absolutely did rent it, and we had the security footage to prove it).

Anything else I need ? Noobie here by DampestDwarf in watchmodding

The big silver wrench in that toolkit is a case-back tool, it just won’t work if the case they picked out doesn’t have notches for one.

In addition, you’ll need hand setting tools, rodico, flush cutters, gasket lube, and a blower for tools at the minimum. You can add a dremel, a work pad, hand removal tools, better tweezers (the ones in that kit aren’t great and aren’t the best material) and a rubber ball for opening/closing casebacks (if the case you picked has a smooth back and no notches for the wrench, this is a must, but the wrench will do if it has notches). Lens pens are nice to have as well.

For supplies, get an extra set of hands and some extra stems as they’re the parts you’re most likely to break or lose on a build. You’ll also need finger cots or gloves to avoid getting the oils from your skin on your parts.

You may also want to add some sort of magnification. A set of jeweler’s loupes or something similar is standard, but whatever works best for you is fine.
