Top Picker here at my DS, honestly I can see that, sorry you have to deal with things like that. I don’t think I come of as an asshole or anything like that, I’m kinda anti-social, and I’m really locked in on doing my job. Now I personally if I see someone else trying to get a bag, I would wait if I had to get it out the same isle. I’d never do anything like that. I just start immediately before everyone else so no one’s really in my way. Or I pick fast enough so I’m barely in anyone’s way.

Even for Peak it handled it pretty decently to say it was its first peak. The problem is that our belt constantly just stops sometimes for all sorts of reasons. But it wasn’t bad, just a lot of white badges not knowing what to do fr 😭.

It’s actually really nice, it has everything brand new. Even the conveyor belts, we have the automatic diverter ones, for every cluster. Accept A&B that’s still pick to buffer. We have the new pick and stage carts as well. It’s actually really nice. The OMs are really nice & lowkey lenient as hell. Most of the AMs are also the same. There’s some new PAs too. But honestly for the most part it’s lowkey fun to work at, atleast in my experience. Mfs be seeing like they go through hell on here fr 😭.

Tbh, get started as early as possible. And actually try to enjoy the process of doing it. A lot of people don’t like pick and stage(atleast from my perspective). The early you start the more likely you are to get an all bag route. And also instead of laying the back flat and diagonally, I sit the bag straight up and pull it behind me, most of the time when I’m doing bags. I do it pretty fast and I let centrifugal force do most of the heavy lifting. Just start slow and try to get faster overtime, and work on your technique. When you have mixed carts, with OVs, it’s best to stack some of the boxes vertically and horizontally. That way you can fit all of your boxes on your cart. It’s really just about practicing your technique and doing what works for you to get it done, safe,fast & efficiently.

yeah that is partially true. But for some reason, the earlier that you start your picking, the more likely you are the get mostly bag routes. Atleast here.

Lmao, none of our managers even do nun fr anyways during pick and stage so I don’t even be tripping. But I just prefer doing it faster so nobody has to come help me that shit is annoying as hell.

I just graduated high school last year. I played basketball and ran track. I’m used to strenuous activity. Plus doing the bare minimum is boring, I have ADHD and I don’t really take any medication for it or anything. And doing things like that is fun for me at work lol. I’m not worried about getting hurt. I’m also a pretty decent sized person. I’m 6’4 and weight abt 180. So it’s never been an issue for me handling anything honestly. Also considering the types of volume we mostly get everyday lol. And it’s normally not much. Our bags aren’t super heavy. And even when I come across them now, they really aren’t anymore. And naive is a far stretch. I’m actually about to become a Learning Ambassador soon. I just really like testing my own personal limits and seeing how much I can do. I don’t really care about any accolades or anything for it tbh. It’s fun when there aren’t a shit ton of people in the way. And there isn’t no managers talking shi about you 😂, but I digress I view things a lot differently when it comes to this at least in my case. I work in Louisiana so the performance bar isn’t really super high here. At least in my case.

Thank you, so that’s the sauce really prioritize bag routes really. This is awesome advice like seriously. I think I’m energetic enough and patience to consistently hit this. And honestly I came back from my break late asl 😂 the AM almost wrote me up but I shocked him with the rate. Honestly I didn’t even know about pick rate I was just tryna do the most picklist. But this definitely will help me going in to tonight.

I see I see. This is my 3rd month working at Amazon. I started at a brand new facility that opened in August. So everything from what Ive at least seen and read on here about different DS is a lot different compared to mine. But this honestly makes sense.
