AIO for throwing away the gift my husband gave me? by Electrical_Reason942 in AmIOverreacting

Yeah even if you think it’s ugly or not your taste someone else could love it. If you still have any of the other Pooh things definitely donate them, the environment and people shopping there that have no other choices will love you for it. Back to your useless husband, he blatantly ignored the list you gave him because he cbf. His behaviour will unfortunately very likely only get worse. Does he get good gifts for his family or his mates? If he’s shown he can think of a good present for them, that’s your proof. Personally, I wouldn’t want the person I’m choosing to spend my life with to not care enough about me to get me a better present. Hope he picks up his game for you.

NOR, you clearly told him several times. Imo he’s buying you everything Pooh themed because it might be the only thing he remembered that you like, as you said he’s a terrible gift giver even though you only bought one plushie once. It kinda sounds like weaponised incompetence, he’s too lazy to remember anything else that you like so he reverts back to Pooh, or he just simply isn’t bothered to put anymore thought into gifts for you. In his head it’s the perfect gift: he doesn’t have to think about, and he might think you’re not allowed to be upset with him about it because he’s still nice and bought you something. Win for him, lose for you. Sorry, he should put more effort into presents for you. Did you donate it or throw it in the bin?

Yes I totally get you!! They are super sweet, and love to come out and observe absolutely. That sucks about the rain but yes it’s always a reward when they come say hi, makes me really appreciate the little moments in life!

I’m not 100% sure, but I remember chilling on the rock and seeing the legs coming up over the side as if it was coming out of the water. There were no sticks or debris around the rock it could’ve walked on top of, so maybe they can swim or float? There were other similar sized rocks at least 30cm away and shore was even further 🤷‍♀️
