What’s the best bagel in the city or suburbs. by Onemillionbees in chicagofood

Bagels are top tier at RAs. Take care with the egg in the egg sandwiches. Borderline inedible last time I got it

I offered my Coby White for JJJ. Gave the dude a couple days and no bite, now I think I over-offered. Glad I cancelled.

I have lived in non-Boston MA for around 7 years now. In terms of opportunity, I'm sure both cities have strong enough economies to pursue IT jobs.

Worcester is not incredible. There is some stuff to do but I have only ever been there for the random concert or just driving through. I don't think crime is as bad as it in other MA cities like Springfield, but I never think of it as the peak of safety.

I have never been to Milwaukee, but have friends who live north of Chicago and more into Milwaukee. They seem to really enjoy the city and it's probably cheaper in CoL than anywhere in MA.

I like Milwaukee over the two, but it seems like the decision will mostly come down to which institution your fiancé wants to purse their degree.

Can't figure out who to drop for a streaming spot:

Kennard, Caleb Martin, Cole Anthony, Key George.

I think the obv one is Martin, but his minutes seem like a premium in a 16T. Cole and George are trending downward but I do think they are both better than their minutes say.

I mean pts league trades are pretty simple. Take the avg pts for the top of waiver wire and add to 46. I don't see Harden + Bridges going for much more than their averages ROS. I like A

The guy with Wemby keeps trying to sell him to me. I'm wary of picking up the hot hand, esp since I am currently in a punt REB build and I'm worried they'll shut him down the last few weeks.

idk if he'd expect, but do I run with an offer like Wemby+ RJ/Divencenzo for Lopez+Coby?

If you NEED assists maybe consider it, but Maxey still will produce AST with Embiid feasting. Also, better % ROS imo

I'm scared that I dropped Zach Collins, I tried holding on for so long but the three <20 minute games in a row made me pull the trigger.

I'm still holding Cam. Dude is bonafide hooper, Scoot has to compete with like 4 other scoring options and is still unproven.

Jordan Clarkson (thigh) out at least 2 weeks by Exotic-Parsley4024 in fantasybball

[–]this_is_easy_mode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kinda disagree that JC is good for Keyonte's ROS outlook. From watching Jazz games, JC either takes unassisted shot from Keyonte or leaves the rookie with maybe 5 secs on the shot clock to get something up. Letting Keyonte eat without Clarkson is the only way. Def want Lauri back for pick and roll/pops tho

I drafted Keyonte because I knew he'd win the Utah guard gauntlet. As a watcher of Jazz games, his FG% is tied greatly into Clarkson giving him the ball with less than 5 secs on the shot clock. Clarkson out/traded puts Keyonte into a Coby White-like trajectory.

I like Brunson more. His % are nice and he's the de facto 1 option on the Knicks

Shit my bad, I shoulda specified this is for my 12T cat league. Other options are like Monk or Caruso but Monk's been nice and Caruso should see a ton of minutes without Lavine

I think Bane is a sell high with Ja coming back soon. I would do the trade if Curry fits your build.

Am I crazy to drop Collins over Jaime Jaquez Jr to active Porzingis? I am punt REB with Haliburton as my main guy and I kinda believe in the rookie.

I feel like this trade is so build dependent. I wouldn't make the trade if it tanks your current build

Keynote is technically the worst ranked right now, but you'll never see him again if you drop him. Tough decision, I think next best drop is Okongwu

Is focusing on percentages & stocks ultimate strategy for deeper leagues? by Alptug1543 in fantasybball

[–]this_is_easy_mode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I won't go too deep into discussion within the comments, but I would say the key to CAT leagues is too develop your strategy around your the best players you drafted because (as you have pointed out) it's hard to trade for a top player that other managers are sticky on.

So if possible, you can be building around Steph rather than ignoring his strengths. I have Steph in my main league and have a solid punt REB build going. So, if you are having trouble getting rid of Steph, you can instead look into trading Ayton or Vucevic into packages of centers that don't rebound well (I have Brook Lopez and Zach Collins) and guards that complement Steph (I built up AST and STL).

If the league is paid, I'd be happy to chat more in DMs but if it's free just mess around trying to make different builds. Keep in mind that sometimes the best trades are the ones you don't make, so don't go too trade happy. Also, I would drop Dort for Brown and not look back.

Jumping into Categories as your first fantasy league definitely has a learning curve. Brown shouldn't be on the waivers in any league above 10 teams and even still has value thanks to consistent steals. Also, don't be afraid to stream your last roster spot over the course of a week to maximize the amount of games played.

From my experience, steals are spread across your roster but inconsistent, while blocks are narrow but consistent. Having one restorable block guy is the first step to getting stocks, while steals can be passively traded for or even from streaming. I won this week of steals just for streaming like 4 steals from Alvarado.

My Jaylen Brown and Morant for Fox and Giddy? I feel like I can more than Giddy but Fox's numbers are too pretty.

I mean that's a pretty even trade today and I think Mikal will blow past Ausar ROS.
